All our riders made the long journey to Scotland where they were keen to continue pushing themselves as much as they can.

Chester Grocock - Open 11 Saturday Chester was on a charge. 3 Solid motos and an amazing performance in the quarter finals put him into a stacked semifinal where he hit his PB lap time but unfortunately wasn’t enough 6th put him in the B final where he closed out rd 3 with a solid result. Rd 4 Chester hit the dreaded 5th in the quarter finals. Lots to come from Chester.

Hannah Mackie - Female 13 Hannah had a mixed weekend where she absolutely smashed her skill goals set out for her by the team but deep down she wanted more!! This lead to a personal battle within. She managed to regain and move forward and once she did she smashed her lap times.

Ethan Buttery - Open 13
Ethan was keen to get going this weekend. Although this was probably the longest track Ethan has ever ridden he managed to get to grips very quickly.. Ethan likes to figure things out his own way and he certainly figured out the 3rd straight where he was able to use his strength!! Rd 3 Ethan made it through to the quarterfinals unforced ran out of steam on at Rd 4.. Love to watch Ethan race…

Noah Buttery - Open 15
Noah’s return to National racing this weekend. Noah only had one goal and that was to go out there and enjoy himself. A couple of issues on the gate throughout the weekend found him chasing the race but he loved being back and out there..

Alex Mackie - Open 17-18
What a difference 12months confidence building and having fun on bikes can make. Alex has worked hard throughout the winter and showing the results.. Solid gates and a professional attitude towards plan, do and review. 2 Solid days of racing and quarter finals.

Sophie Kynaston - Female 17-18
We could say again, What difference 12 months makes. In this case 12 months ago Sophie was down and out with a horrible injury that required surgery and pinning back together. She started recovery in June. Since then she’s been relentless in trying to get back to where she was… She flew past that marker and progressed even further and came back stronger.. She can be very hard on herself but we are very proud of her.. 2 A finals made. Sophie knows things could have ended stronger this weekend but so what.. We’re rebuilding!

LVG National Race Team – North Regional Series Round 3 Race Report

We are incredibly proud of all our riders today, with a couple of real standout performances—especially from our 13s squad, who continue to raise the bar.

Firstly…

Chester Grocock
Always a passionate rider who wears his heart on his sleeve and is eager to show what he can do. A slight change in tactics combined with a fresh mindset paid off, delivering a strong performance in the A Final and securing an impressive 4th overall.

Alex Mackie
This lad’s dedication to winter training is really starting to show—ACES! Unlucky to miss out on a well-deserved A Final on countback, but his focus and determination never dropped. He bounced back brilliantly to take the B Final win, setting a new PB in the process.

Noah Buttery
Finding his love for racing again and stepping up to prove he can compete with older riders. Looked strong through the motos, but unfortunately a snapped clip in the final left him frustrated. A tough break, but plenty of positives to take forward.

Sophie Kynaston
Racing in the 17–18 Female category, Sophie showed great maturity. After a big crash on Tuesday, the focus was on recovery and riding smart—and she executed that plan perfectly. A solid 5th place in the Payback Final, ticking all the right boxes ahead of Nationals next week.

Now onto our 13s…

Ethan Buttery – Open 13
What a story! Just one month ago, Ethan didn’t even want to race—unsure about clips and “I’m not good enough” . Fast forward to today and… wow. Learning to ride clipped in, making his first National-level Q Final, stacking PB after PB, and riding with total commitment. A fantastic 7th place in a stacked final, and arguably the move of the day!

Hannah Mackie
This one meant a lot. Hannah is one of the hardest working and most dedicated riders we know, competing in an incredibly stacked age group where top girls are hitting Queen of the Hill times at National level. Recently stepping her training up another level, she got the reward she truly deserves—her first ever Regional win. An outstanding achievement!

We could not be prouder of our riders—the effort, determination, and progression on display today was something special. Onwards to Nationals!
