“I’m delighted with the performance and, more importantly, the attitude of the players. From the first whistle they showed real intensity, moved the ball well and worked incredibly hard for each other.
Scoring eight goals is always pleasing, but keeping a clean sheet is equally important. There were some excellent individual performances, but this was all about the team. The players trusted each other, stayed disciplined and were clinical when the opportunities came.
It’s a good result and one we can enjoy, but our focus now turns to the next challenge. We know there will be tougher tests ahead, so we’ll stay grounded, keep working hard and look to build on this performance.
