Paddle Skedaddle 2022 🏄‍♀️

What a wonderful weekend in sunny Norfolk! Meeting old friends and new! Such a great bunch of paddlers!

Was so unexpected to come 2nd place in my category, had a really tough couple of weeks so feeling very proud of myself and love my paddle trophy!!!

Big thank you to the organisers, volunteers and marshals!!! Great event! We loved it so much we will definitely be back next year!! Especially loved the first 15km paddling against the tide 😆 followed by a stiff head wind for the rest of the race!! Next year we need to get some training in in a warmer climate as us from the North aren't used to that kind of heat ☀️😆☀️

Our first on the water litter pick of the year!!

Tonight I took two colleagues out for a lesson and a litter pick!!!

They were both amazing, up standing and paddling in seconds!!

We collected quite a bit, sadly could of collected an awful lot more! We found a giant polystyrene block which was disintegrating into the water 😞😞 a fire extinguisher and the usual plastics!

We will be holding regular SUP litter picks throughout the summer! Unofficial Planet patrol clean ups! Dates to follow very soon!

Magical paddling moments 🐬🐬

Our early morning paddle was rewarded with a good hour or so of watching the dolphins feed!

Followed by a lovely paddle around Abersoch harbour and bay!

On our paddle today we spotted this very cool looking boat! Came home and did some googling!! The Boat of Hope!! Liverpudlian Bernie Hollywood OBE is single handedly rowing across the Atlantic next year to raise money and awareness for young people suffering with their mental health. This will definitely be a story to follow! It is moored up on the Dee so hopefully we will get to see him in training!

Absolutely devastating news from South Wales yesterday. My thoughts and heart goes out to all involved and the family and friends of those that have tragically lost their lives. What an absolutely tragic accident 😔

Without any speculation of the circumstances of what actually happened this really highlights the importance of water safety. My biggest piece of advice is… If in doubt don’t go out! Don’t paddle in conditions beyond your capabilities and make sure you are well equipped for the conditions you are paddling in. Stay safe !

**Boards for Sale**

I am selling two Hatha Oxygen boards 10'6" Either Blue or Carve.

New in March this year.

All boards are structurally sound but cosmetically have the usually marks on from general use.

Always cleaned after every use and stored dry.

Happy to meet at Eccleston or at home in Caergwrle to view the boards.

These boards are Brilliant, super sturdy, great for beginners and the more experienced. We have had lots of beginners on them over the summer, we have also had sea adventures on them ourselves.

£450 per board. Includes paddle, pump, leash, bag, repair kit.
