2011 Shin-Gi-Tai First weekend of Summer School Burryport August 2011
It is with a heavy heart that I have to inform you that Hanshi Roger Payne has suddenly passed away. I am sure that you share with me by sending our condolences, prayers and thoughts to all of his family and Dojo members🙏🏼🙏🏼

He shall sadly be missed by many on and off the tatami least of all by me. Rest in peace my friend❤️🙏🏼

During the late Uzumi Shian's visit to this weekend course Roger Sensei was key to communicating with Uzumi Sensei and myself as to the success of this going ahead.
It was a great two days enjoyed by everyone who attended.

August 2nd 2025 Aikido Seminar held in South Wales hosted by Mike Williams Hanshi Hachidan (Dai Nippon Butoku Kai Kyoto Japan) and Treorchy Aiki Ryu Aikido Academy Feedback:
First of all may I thank Sensei Tom Pariss- Pierce and his group of students who travelled up from Cornwall to join us for this joint Aikido Seminar.The Seminar was well attended and feedback from everyone has been great. The atmosphere was described as being electrifying!!! Two Sessions were held in the morning and two sessions also in the afternoon split between Sensei Tom Pariss-Pierce and myself.
Following the close of the seminar, presentations of DNBK Menjo (diplomas)were made to three relevant DNBK Members in the presence of DNBK MEMBERS in good standing.

I would like to thank all of the students who travelled (some far and wide including Neil Dixon Sensei) and the uke's used during the day who were outstanding. Finally a special thanks to all of the people behind the scenes who contributed to the success of the day including everyone who provided the buffet lunch and helped during the day.

This is an open Seminar hosted by UK Treorchy Aiki Ryu Aikido Academy and Mike Williams Hanshi Hachidan Shihan (Dai Nippon Butoku Kai Kyoto Japan) all styles of Aikido are very welcome.

10.00am until 4.30pm.There will be a short break for a light lunch which will be provided.
I am pleased to announce that we will have a very experienced high ranking Guest Instructor present with over 50yrs of Aikido Experience.

Hi all, I am proposing to run an Aikido Seminar in Treorchy early August please let me know if you are interested and your preferred dates before I book the hall. The seminar will consist of Aiki Ken and jo, some Iai Aiki and Taijutsu Aikido and Aikijujitsu. This will be an open seminar and other organisations or groups will be made very welcome. At the end of the Seminar relevant yudansha will be presented with their Dai Nippon Butoku Kai Certificated grade diplomas.

Hi all, last evening class of the year is Thursday 19th Dec.
However, the dojo will be open on Saturday this week (21st) for anyone who wishes to attend 9.00am to 10.45am.
Classes will resume on Tuesday Jan.7th 2025.
Please note that we have our Kagami Biraki on Sunday January 12th all welcome including family and friends.
Finally I would like to thank all our dojo members and their families and of course our friends from other dojo"s who supported us. throughout 2024 .
