Today we received the tragic news that we have suddenly lost one of our U14 coaches Keri Hart.
We send love, strength and our thoughts to Claire, Reagan and Alfie and all of Keri's family and friends.
Always willing to help and support our boys and head coach Gareth Gasper, he played an integral part within the team.
Keri was selfless, patient, supportive, kind and encouraging. Coaches shape not just players on the field, but individuals off it, and Keri's absence will have a deep impact on the entire club and his team.
As a mark of respect we will cancelling our U14's cup game tomorrow.
Sincere condolences to Keri's family from everyone at Ferndale RFC 💙💔

Tonight we want to pay recognition to a very special and dedicated player, who has been a part of Ferndale since 2021. Seeing her progress through mixed rugby into female rugby has been a privilege and she grows in strength each year.
This girl has talent in abundance, but along with that talent she has commitment, work ethic and a skill set that not many young athletes possess.
She has always led from the front and set a shining example for her teammates, including the boys, who she wasn't afraid to tell off and give stern instructions to, and yes, they listened, pretty sharpish.
We wish you all the luck in the world moving forward on your rugby journey and have no doubt you will continue to shine and make us proud. It really has been an honour to watch this girl boss the field since U9's.
So on behalf of Ferndale RFC, we would like to pay recognition to our OG, the longest serving female player Miss Cali Poole ❤️💙
