Huge thanks to Bala Rugby Club for travelling to Colwyn bay for our u16 match yesterday. Colwyn bay took the win 52-31 but what stood out for the game today was the attitudes of both teams. This was a game that showed what rugby is all about it was really fun to watch, respectful and professional. Both teams being a credit to their clubs !

Back in action this morning as Colwyn bay hosted Mold in our next u16’s visit to the pitch.

The rain came and mud slipped and slides us all over the pitch but this did not hinder us too much and we came away with a great 40-10 win.

Have to give special mention to Mold, they did not make it easy for us and brought a great game with an excellent performance and extremely physical action to the very end! Hats off to them!

Congratulations to our MOTM Ben Lacey on a fantastic match and well earned

Well it was going to happen at some point! Colwyn bay took their first loss of the season yesterday when we ventured to the border to play Shotton for the first time!

A tense and physical match, we were up against it from the off with no subs available and and freezing cold wind to contend with. However we celebrate our wins and we learn from our losses congratulations to Shotton!

With only 3 points between the winning and losing score 15-12 we look forward to levelling up the wins when they visit us at home on February 9th 🙌

Well the boys roared by into action yesterday in the first round of the RGC Cup. 2 matches 2 wins putting us top of our group!

Was a delight seeing the boys driving for the wins given we’ve not been able to play since November due to poor weather conditions. However they have been training every week with coach Noel Gibbons putting them through thier paces and keeping them in top playing condition and it sure showed yesterday!

Just want to report some huge news regarding the raffle that Bernadette Mitchell & I have been working on for the fundraising for the tour! I’m sure Detty will agree that we had no idea that the response to it would have been so great and we are thankful to each and every parent, team member, family member and members of the public who bought and sold tickets. The total we raised was a phenomenal, a gigantic, a mind blowing £3068!!!! We are Absolutely thrilled to bits!! Please see the video to show the winners being drawn 🥳

The action was flowing as much as the mud down at Brookfield Drive today as Colwyn bay hosted at home to visitors Rhyl . The grim weather did not deter either team seeking a win!

A physical game with both teams bringing a fast paced strategy with the guts and an attitude to win from both sides lasting the whole game.

A frustrating result for Rhyl which did not reflect thier determination and a strong win for colwyn bay with the final result on the board giving us 6 wins from 6 games so far this season
