Congratulations to all of those members of Repton Karate who graded for their 1st Dan black belts, Harry for his 3rd Dan Junior and Sensei Nick for 3rd Dan, Sensei Anthony for his 4th Dan. well done all, a high standard from all of you.

For those that are intending to grade next week, please complete the form

Gradings are based on linework, kata, sparing and self-defence. Grading conditions will be observed by all students on grading day, whether they are grading or not as a sign of respect to those that are. All Students are required to attend in a plain white Gi (Uniform) & their current belt. Grading....

Good morning team Repton

Well an amazing class today with maximum attendance

Great to see all the new guys and more experienced ones all training side by side

Lots of line work and basics and then it was full sparring mode

The level of effort and true grit today was exceptional folks well done with everyone getting stuck in and not shying away

Also great to see the combinations and basics being used in the sparring

Good morning all

First class session this morning with everyone working amazingly hard today

So into the run up to grading and we worked a lot on line work and kata today

Great to see some new starters this week and last week and some people coming back to re join all very welcome

Really important we get the practice in at home now guys to build on the work we do in class

Good morning team Repton

Brilliant class today well done all

All about the line work today covering a number of basics and combinations

Step forward punch with counter strikes
Kicks moving forwards with counter strikes
Reverse punch moving forward and low punch to the groin with kicks added in also

Jumping front kicks

Blocks with counter strikes

Combination with front kick round kick side kick back kick back fist reverse punch

And to end step by step kata to really drive the technique

Well done guys brilliant class with lots of effort
