The King’s Baton Relay 2026 is still on tour across Renfrewshire! ✨

Another fantastic couple of weeks on the road, taking the Baton to even more schools and communities across the area.

We have enjoyed a brilliant visit to Bridge of Weir Primary for their BounceAthon, before heading along to Riverbrae School for their Health Day 💪

The Baton also stopped off at St Margaret’s, Lochwinnoch, Dargavel and Park Mains, where pupils and staff gave it a warm welcome and got involved in the excitement of the relay journey.

One of the week’s highlights was Gallowhill Primary, who took the Baton on their very own relay walk to Barshaw Park 🌞

It’s been amazing to see so many young people embracing the spirit of the Baton and getting active as we continue our journey towards Glasgow 2026.

We’ve still got lots more schools and venues to visit, so keep your eyes peeled, the Baton could be coming to a community near you soon! 👀

Junior NBA Finals 2026 🏀

A huge well done and congratulations to all 8 teams who took part in the Junior NBA Finals 2026 today.

Eight schools from Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire came together to compete, and what a fantastic day it was. The level of talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship on display was outstanding from start to finish.

Final Results
🥉 3rd Place – Todholm Kings
🥈 2nd Place – Lochfield Lakers
🥇 1st Place – Wallace Mavericks

Congratulations to all players, coaches, and schools involved for making the day such a success.

A massive shoutout and thank you to all the volunteers from RSSE and Basketball Paisley who have supported the league throughout the season and helped make today’s finals possible. Events like this simply couldn’t happen without your time, energy, and commitment.

Well done to all 24 schools who took part in the Junior NBA this year across the two authorities ⭐️🏀
