As they say, all good things must come to an end. It’s been a pleasure, an emotional rollercoaster and some of my proudest moments ever. Forever grateful to Scottish Darts for the opportunities and forever frustrated at myself for not taking full advantage of them.

Congratulations to all of the new caps, especially my boy, Mitchell Lawrie 🙌🏻🫶🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. Smash it up! 💪🏻💙

Scottish darts would like to congratulate the following players in their selection for the Scotland Team 2026.

I got “The Technical Player” 😎

🎯 WHAT TYPE OF DARTS PLAYER ARE YOU? (Free test)

Ever wondered why some days you feel unstoppable…
and other days you can’t buy a treble?

It’s not random.
It’s not luck.
It’s not “trying harder.”

It’s your Player Type — the way your mind and body naturally perform under pressure.

After working with hundreds of players, I’ve identified 10 Player Types, each with:

their own strengths

their own traps

and their own path to improvement

If you want to find out your exact Player Type, you can take the questionnaire FREE here:

You’ll discover whether you’re:

The Confidence Player

The Power Player

The Fire Starter

The Thinking Player

The Ice Player

The Feel Player

The Flow Player

The Artist Player

The Warrior Player

The Technical Player

…and more importantly:
WHY you play the way you do.

Hello folks!!

I’m still here, still trying to fit in playing (half decent!?) alongside everything else going on in life these days but hopefully with a little bit more time to myself as of 1st December I’ll be able to focus more on myself and squeeze a little bit of practice in! (Big numbers?! 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️)

The season kicked off with the Irish Open in Killarney last weekend, got off to a decent start picking up points in both the Irish Classic and Irish Open, falling at the last 16 both days to Deta Hedman; 4-1 in the Classic and 4-2 in the Open.

This weekend it was the SDA Superleague Singles and SDA Tour Event 2 (Alba Cup) at Bullseyes in Greenock. I lost in the semi finals both days. Losing 4-2 to Sophie McKinlay in the Superleague singles who went on to win the event and then losing 4-0 in the Alba Cup to Kelly Jolly who also went on to win the event.

Few weeks and we go again at the SDA Tour Event 3 in Bannockburn and try to build on the points from today.

New shirts incoming for 2026 from the best in the business👌🏻

Haven’t really played much at all in the last couple of months out with Monday nights so really pleased that the final two Scottish Tour events saw me get to the final in Dundee, losing out to Lorriane Hyde and then the quarter finals this weekend losing out 4-3 in a cracking game with Susanna McGimpsey. I managed to finish 4th overall in the table which sees me qualify for the tour finals day on 5th October. Really looking forward to it as well as the next Tour which kicks off on 2nd November!

The calendar is starting to fill up again for the rest of the year with local leagues starting back up and lots of competitions to go to. Excited to see how things progress and hopefully pick up some points at the ranked events 🤞🏻 Bit tired just reading this 😂

20th-22nd Sept - British Open/Classic at Bridlington
5th October - SDA Tour Finals Day at Ciswo, Glenrothes
8th-13th October - World Masters, World Open and World Championship Qualifers at Budapest
19th October - Bo’ness Open at Crown Bar
26th October - Counties - Home to Fife
2nd November - SDA Tour 1 (Scottish Singles) at Ciswo, Glenrothes
8th-10th November - Irish Open at Killarney
16th/17th November - Alba Cup/Tour 2 at Bullseyes Sports Bar, Greenock
7th December - SDA Tour 3 at Bannockburn
29th December - Blues v Greens Charity Day at Davidsons Bar, Renfrew

Thank you as always to the sponsors for their continued support, time off, advice etc etc.

Not very often you’ll hear me say this but, bloody proud of myself today 💪🏻😎

Wee drive down to Bullseye Sports Bar in Greenock today for the Inverclyde Open. Due to lack of interest/entries for a separate ladies event it was a mixed open event with 65 entries.

Last 64 - 3-0 against the Royalle’s William Hill with some clinical finishing

Last 32 - 3-0 against the Carnock’s John Lynch who struggled to find a double

Last 16 - 3-2 against Horseshoe teammate Graham McEachnie, again finishing the big difference

Last 8 - 3-2 against the Green Oak’s Stuart Barnes - a 117 checkout and despite wiring double 19 for a 155 and then covering the double with my next two darts I somehow managed to squeeze it in to the corner from the left hand side of the oche

Last 4 - 2-4 against the Navy A’s Dean Fitch Jnr - neither of us at our best with some bad scores scattered amongst the good…. Double 18 will haunt me in my sleep tonight!!

Unfortunately Dean fell at the final hurdle against an in form Garry Dee Snr (who beat Mark Barilli in the other semi final) so I can’t say I lost out to the winner but to get to the semi finals of an open event with such a quality pool of players I can say I done bloody well and am proud of myself and the way I’m playing at the moment.

Long may it continue 🙌🏻

SDA Tour - Event 5

Event 5 of the tour saw us take a little trip over the water to the Goodyear Social Club in Drumchapel. After missing the 4th event due to being at the Denmark Open I knew I had to get some big results to keep myself in position to qualify for finals day later this year.

I started the day with back to back 4-0 wins over Hollie Ridgers and Claire Ballantyne, scoring was there in patches but the doubles…….. oh my!! Next up was current Scottish Singles and Scottish Masters champion - Louise Paterson and much to Emily’s dismay we took the match to the final leg which I thankfully managed to win to progress to the semis where I met Tay valleys Jennie Peddie. Yet more patchy scoring and missed doubles but I dug deep and won the match 4-2 to make it to my first tour final.

My opponent in the final was Scotland captain, Susanna McGimpsey, who won the bull and proceeded to win three legs on the spin to go 3-0 up. I couldn’t catch a thing in those three legs, feeling like I was throwing from a different height by the 4th leg I eventually started to catch it and brought it back to 3-1 before Susie won the 5th leg to go one away from victory. Again I dug deep and won the next two legs with 88 and 85 checkouts but it wasn’t to be with umpteen missed chances at doubles to take it to 4-4 and Susanna pinged double ten to take the 5-3 win and her first tour win……. Well done Susie 👏🏻👏🏻

Enjoyed today and felt like it was full of learning curves. Didn’t feel I really got going at all at any point in the day so am grateful to have done so well and got points to put me 4th in the table with two events to go.

Special well done also goes to Evander who lost in the semi finals of the men’s and my beloved husband who got to the quarter finals losing out to eventual winner Nicky Denoon. Great darts today guys, super proud!! 💪🏻👏🏻

Denmark Open and Masters

Flew from Edinburgh to Billund on Friday night arriving at the hotel around midnight meant it was a quick unpack and bed for an early start the following day.

Saturday was the Denmark Open which was the gold ranked event meaning there were 32 seeds for the ladies event. I was surprised to find I’d snuck in as No31 seed which meant I received a bye in the first round and would then go on to face county team mate Kel McKinnon in the last 64. First couple of legs were a bit scrappy from both of us but thankfully settled into it and won the third and fourth legs in 18 and 20 darts to seal a 4-0 victory and set up a last 32 match against the Netherlands’ Aileen De Graaf (No2 in the World). Aileen started the match with a 14dart leg followed by a 23 dart leg. Thankfully by the third leg I’d settled into it a bit more and hit back with a 110 checkout for an 18 dart leg. Consistency deserted me in the 4th leg and Aileen extended her lead to 3-1 before I brought it back to 3-2 with a 75 checkout for a 17 dart leg. Aileen then finished the match off with a 16 dart leg putting an end to my Denmark Open campaign for this year.

Sunday was the Denmark Open and a sober Sunday for me as I was driving once we got back to Edinburgh later that night. Despite some good legs on the Saturday I wasn’t expecting too much on the Sunday as my back was bothering me. Thankfully with the help of some painkillers I was able to battle through and boy were some of those games a struggle!!

Last 128 I won 4-3 against Denmark’s Anja Springborg Larsen, Last 64 I won 4-0 against Denmark’s Pia Arslev, Last 32 was a very scrappy 4-3 win against the Netherlands’ Aletta Wajer (No9 in the world)… double trouble all round 🤦🏻‍♀️🙈, Last 16 was a better performance and 4-1 win over Denmark’s Snezana Veljkovic to set up a quarter final game against England’s Deta Hedman(No7 in the world). Despite starting off well with an 18 dart leg I quickly found myself 2-1 down and then missed doubles to make it 2-2, leg 5 saw us both struggle on the doubles and thankfully I got there first to bring it back to 3-2 before Deta finished me off with a 118 checkout for an 18 dart leg.

Overall picked up 38pts from both events this weekend and delighted to have finally broken through the last 16 barrier to make my first WDF quarter final. After pulling a muscle in my lower back a few weeks ago I wasn’t expecting too much at all so definitely a nice confidence boost to know that I can still do it whilst carrying an injury and good to know that I do still have it in me to grind out the wins even if they’re not as pretty and clinical as I’d like!

Great weekend with great company, now to see where the next one takes us……
