🏓 Dennis Williams Memorial Singles League 2026🏓

What a fantastic 10 weeks it has been! We’ve had between 30-40 players taking part every round, with some brilliant matches, plenty of laughs and fantastic sportsmanship throughout. A massive thank you to everyone who supported the league and helped make it such a great event in memory of our former Chairman and Coach, Dennis Williams❤️

ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

This coming Wednesday would usually be the 7th week of the Dennis Williams memorial singles league.

However, due to the events scheduled for Falmouth week (air show etc) and the occurrence of the solar eclipse all coinciding with the singles league in the evening, we have made the decision to postpone this weeks session.

We are still aiming to have 10 weeks, with the final week now being the 9th September. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

Please can everyone make sure the word gets out to their fellow club mates as traffic is expected to be heavy and we would hate for them to have a wasted journey. The centre will still be open for training 🏓

Excellent news for Bridge Table Tennis Club 👏

Hello! Some good news...we have officially moved over to Crofthandy Village Hall 🥳🥳 first practice at the new venue will commence on Sunday (2nd August) from 7pm onwards with Wednesday practice sessions starting on 9th September.

A big thank you to The Chuckle Brothers and their Side kicks (Dave, Paul, Callan and Tom) for moving the tables, barriers, nets and all the equipment over last night.

We have 3 complete tables available at the venue, so more table time for everyone 🏓

Today we hosted a SEND Table Tennis session as part of the Cornwall School Games Programme, delivered in partnership with Active Cornwall.

Schools from across Cornwall attended the event, giving pupils the opportunity to experience table tennis through a variety of fun, inclusive and engaging activities. The session was delivered by a team of coaches from across West Cornwall, including Kelly, Craig, Callan, John and Amanda, who worked together to create a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone involved.

Participants enjoyed a range of activities throughout the day, including relay races using table tennis balls and balloons, target practice challenges and around the table. The enthusiasm shown by the children was fantastic, with everyone actively taking part and giving their best effort.

The event received excellent feedback from schools and support staff. One school even commented that the pupils described it as “the best day” on their journey home, which was wonderful to hear.

Events like this demonstrate the positive impact sport can have in bringing people together, building confidence and encouraging participation. It was a pleasure to share our passion for table tennis with young people from across Cornwall and showcase how inclusive and enjoyable the sport can be. 🏓

Thank you to everyone who attended our Annual League Presentation evening! 🏓

It was great to see so many members from all the clubs in West Cornwall together enjoying the presentation.

A huge thank you to the committee for organising the evening and the 2025/26 season 👏

🏓 Reminder! 🏓

The league presentation evening is tomorrow evening at Above the Bay in Falmouth, starting at 6:45pm.

We’ll also be running a raffle with plenty of great prizes up for grabs, both table tennis and non-table tennis related! 🎟️

If anyone would like to donate a raffle prize, it would be hugely appreciated. We look forward to seeing everyone there!
