Can we PLEASE stop telling new mums that they'll feel better away from their babies?

And start helping their nervous systems settle.

With clean floors.
Empty surfaces.
Comfortable clothes.
Soothing smells.

It's why I clean and tidy as a postpartum doula.

Not because I love Henry the hoover, but because an environment set up to support a calm nervous system leads to a calmer, happier more responsive mum.

And a happier baby.
And a more relaxed family.

It's not rocket science, but it's game-changing.
