Punching with a resitance band is a great exercise to sharpen your punch technique.
You punch through the resistance and hold the punch position for 3 seconds minimum.
The greater the resistance the more likely the hand will wobble. This trains your muscle Proprioception and central nervous system to pin point accuracy better when punching.

Over time the wobble will become less and a more straight accurate punch is achieved.
This exercise also trains your fast twitch muscle fibers which greatly increases your hand speed.
