Sharon Gisbourne Yoga Yoga and Meditation Teacher/Yoga Therapist/Gong Practitioner/Massage Therapist/Menopause Yoga Teacher

22/08/2026

The class focus will be:
Week 1 - Core and Pelvic floor
Week 2 - Lower Body
Week 3 - Upper Body
Week 4 - Lateral strength/Balance/Posture
Week 5 - Strength and Empowerment - whole body - bringing it all together

This class incorporates strength training with yoga. The aim to build strength and flexibility. Feel empowered both mentally and physically, gain a sense of well-being and have some fun doing it!
You will need your usual yoga kit, brick, mat, blanket etc, 1kg hand weights and resistance bands. (looped and long). If you don’t have hand weights you can always use a couple of cans or small water bottles. As long as they are the same weight. Or if you don’t want to use weights you can still participate using body weight only.

Block booking: £55. Contact me to book your space or if you have any questions.

That’s the basic details but read on for further about the possible benefits of this class:

Combining strength training and yoga is a powerful way to balance the physical and emotional changes caused by declining oestrogen levels. While strength training focuses on overloading muscles and bones to reverse age-related degeneration, yoga acts to regulate the nervous system, maintain mobility, and relieve joint stress. Together, they form a comprehensive approach to overall wellness.

Although I’m mentioning menopause a lot here and these classes will absolutely improve your journey through perimenopause and beyond. Women do actually start to lose muscle mass from their mid thirties. Therefore, these classes are open to women of any age. Honestly, I wish I’d known about the importance of strength training when I was younger. I feel it’s my duty to get it out there and educate early.

However, don’t think I’ve forgotten about my first love (Yoga). I have found that combining the weights with the yoga actually has improved the “feel” of my practice. I hope when you join me for these classes that it will be something you experience too.

I have just realised that I don’t really advertise this online class. It was born during the Covid lockdown and is still running! It’s 6-7.30pm on Tuesday evenings.

An online class can be really helpful if you are short on time, or have dependents at home and find it difficult to carve out that little bit of me time for yourself.

It can be a time saver not having to drive to the class and if you feel really relaxed after the class you don’t have to drive home! It’s also great financially at present giving the rising costs of running a car!

I’m Sharon Gisbourne. I have over 20 years of experience so you will be in good hands! And I really like to have a bit of fun to😀

The class includes yoga poses, breathing techniques and a lovely relaxation! Leaving you feeling balanced and happy!
The class is suitable for most and I am excellent at delivering classes for all levels of ability.😁
You do need to be able to get up and down from the floor though. If you have any questions do contact me.

The classes are 1.5hrs and are booked online so you receive your Zoom link to join the class. You are able to book a single class but for better value there are 4,6 and 8 week class passes.

Get in contact if you have any questions. Or have any health issues I may need to know about.

I can’t wait to guide you on your journey to increased well- being! 😃

This is truly one of my most rewarding classes to teach. It was born in 2012 after the local MS nurse (a true saint of a lady), attending one of my other classes asked if I could offer a class that she could tell her patients about.😀

The timing was fabulous because I had nearly completed my Yoga therapy training, so was looking for ways to use it. Well it’s now 2026 and the class is still running. It has a new day and a new time from Tuesday 2nd June. 🪑📺

The class is open to anyone (not exclusive to people with MS) who may find a typical class a bit of a struggle. You can see from the post pic that many of the standing poses are very adaptable to the chair.😍

There is an option to do a standing balance and some floor work. A lovely relaxation at the end of the class.

I truly love this class the students are amazing - they don’t give up - even with the trials some of them face day to day.🤩

If you think this class might help you please get in touch. Leave a comment, see my website (link in bio) for more information, email!! Whatever you like! I even appreciate a good old fahioned phone call.

I’m here with my vast yoga toolbox - there’s something in it for everyone!!😀🙏❤

This is a well established, friendly class and new attendees are always welcome.🥰 The class is a great mix of yoga asanas (postures), breath work and of course, all important relaxation!
Plenty of adaptations so you can work at your own pace. And actually get to know your body, breath and energy!
The Hall is warm, clean and there’s plenty of parking.😀. Give me a call to discuss.
Look forward to hearing from you.
😀❤️🙏

10th September, 6.45pm. This class is 2 hours of bliss. The poses are completly floor based involving the use of props to support the body, allowing the muscles and mind to passively release tension. Soothing the nervous system and therefore, promoting a sense of deep relaxation. With this in mind the class is limited to 8 places and is held in the safe, intimate setting that The Wellbeing Tree’s yoga studio provides.

There is a gentle warm up. You will then be guided through 5 poses, which are held for increasing lengths of time. Finally the class will conclude with an extended relaxation (Yoga Nidra).

This is a deeply relaxing session and may not be suitable for deep clinical depression and some psychological conditions.

Once booked there are no refunds for this session. Click link to book:

Online Meditation course starting 18th February, 7pm😀
Meditation - such a worthwhile practice - it does take some patience but it’s worth the effort. Meditation gives us space for ourselves to process our lives. The eventual results may be amazing!
We may find that we become less inclined to react to the niggly stuff and begin to see the bigger picture. Thoughts have more clarity, we find that we can choose how we want to react to situations. This
😳 may become 😁!
This six week course aims to:

Dispel some of the myths surrounding meditation

Discuss possible “barriers” such as sitting well

Explore techniques to prepare the body and mind

Explore reactions to distractions

Use simple breathing and concentration techniques

Find tools that work for you.

Includes handouts, video’s and voice recordings to aid your practice
Benefits are many. I can’t list everything here.

Contact me or click the link below for more information and to book.
