That’s the basic details but read on for further about the possible benefits of this class:
Combining strength training and yoga is a powerful way to balance the physical and emotional changes caused by declining oestrogen levels. While strength training focuses on overloading muscles and bones to reverse age-related degeneration, yoga acts to regulate the nervous system, maintain mobility, and relieve joint stress. Together, they form a comprehensive approach to overall wellness.
Although I’m mentioning menopause a lot here and these classes will absolutely improve your journey through perimenopause and beyond. Women do actually start to lose muscle mass from their mid thirties. Therefore, these classes are open to women of any age. Honestly, I wish I’d known about the importance of strength training when I was younger. I feel it’s my duty to get it out there and educate early.
However, don’t think I’ve forgotten about my first love (Yoga). I have found that combining the weights with the yoga actually has improved the “feel” of my practice. I hope when you join me for these classes that it will be something you experience too.
