🥊 TAGB Sparring Workshops – Not Long To Go! 🥊

Only a couple of weeks until the first of our summer Sparring Workshops gets underway!

Whether you’re looking to improve your fitness, sharpen your sparring skills, gain confidence, or prepare for upcoming competitions, these sessions are for you.

Over the three evenings we’ll be covering:

✅ Sparring fitness and conditioning
✅ Stretching and mobility
✅ Pad drills and combinations
✅ Ringcraft and tactics
✅ Sparring scenarios
✅ Live sparring rounds
✅ Competition tips and coaching

All TAGB grades are welcome, from beginners wanting to build confidence through to experienced competitors looking to raise their game.

🥋 TAGB Sparring Workshops – Open to All TAGB Students! 🥋

I’m excited to be running a series of Sparring Workshops this summer at St Bede’s in Redditch.

Whether you’re completely new to sparring or an experienced competitor, these sessions are designed to help you improve every aspect of your sparring in a fun, challenging, and supportive environment.

📅 Dates:
• Friday 26th June
• Friday 10th July
• Friday 24th July

⏰ Time:
7:30pm – 9:00pm

📍 Venue:
St Bede’s Catholic Middle School
Holloway Lane
Redditch
B98 7HA

💷 Cost:
£7 per person

The sessions will include:

✅ Sparring-specific fitness and conditioning
✅ Stretching and mobility work
✅ Pad drills and combinations
✅ Sparring scenarios and tactics
✅ Footwork and movement drills
✅ Live sparring rounds
✅ Competition tips and coaching

All grades and experience levels are welcome. Whether your goal is to gain confidence, improve your technique, or prepare for competition, there will be something for everyone.

Sparring equipment is recommended but not essential.

🥋 BTC Championships – Sunday 7th June 🥋

This is the next event on the calendar and one I would really like us to get a strong team to support, especially with it being local at Worcester Arena.

I’ll be bringing entry forms to class tonight, so if you want to compete make sure you get your forms and entries sorted early.

The BTC Championships is always a fantastic competition and a true test of your ability, as you are competing against students from all different organisations and associations — not just the same faces you normally see.

I’ve always held winning a medal at this event in very high regard because you are truly pitted against all comers. To place at this competition means something.

Let’s get behind this one properly and represent Redditch TAGB with a big team, great attitude, and strong performances. 👊🔥

What makes this even better is knowing it comes from hard work, talent, dedication, and the culture we continue to build at Redditch TAGB Taekwondo.

Reminder to all Redditch TAGB Taekwon-Do students:

The final deadline to enter the Welsh Championships is next Monday, 11th May.

If I don’t receive your entry by then, I won’t be able to submit you for the competition.

Please make sure you complete your application form and bring in your subs before the deadline.

Don’t leave it too late!

🎉 Grading Success! 100% Pass Rate at Redditch TAGB Taekwondo 🎉

Last night (Monday 30th March 2026) was Grading Presentation, and what an incredible night it was!

Grand Master Atkins visited on 23rd March to carry out the gradings, and on Monday we proudly presented the new belts and certificates. The standard was exceptionally high across the board, with a fantastic 100% pass rate, including several A Passes and Pass Plus grades.

Huge congratulations to every single student who graded! Your hard work, dedication, and determination have paid off. This achievement is a real credit to you all and makes the entire club incredibly proud.

A massive thank you to Grand Master Atkins for taking the time to assess everyone so thoroughly.

🌟 Incredible Achievement at the TAGB English Championships! 🌟

This Mother’s Day (Sunday 15th March 2026), 7 students from Redditch TAGB headed to the English Championships… and came home with an outstanding 10 medals between them! 🏅

There were golds, double golds, silvers and bronzes aplenty, an absolutely phenomenal performance all round!

We are all immensely proud of every single one of you.
