About Redditch Skatepark

Re

dditch Skatepark is the UK’s largest outdoor supervised charity skatepark which opened in the year 2000 catering for Skateboarding, BMX biking, In-line Skating and mountain biking. The skatepark is built with events and progression in mind and caters from the beginner to the professional Rider. It boasts a series of beginner and competition standard ramp courses, continually changing thanks to the involvement of the local riders. It is supervised with first aid facilities and sells refreshments. Each year the venue stages events, coaching, school visits, youth groups private hire, and birthday parties. To encourage safety-free helmet and pad protection is available. We also hire out quality BMX bikes, skateboards, and inline skates. Our friendly staff are available for advice on how best to use the skatepark for inexperienced users. Redditch Skatepark’s visitors are not only from Redditch but the Midlands, the U.K, and abroad. World-class professional Skate and BMX teams visit the skatepark and ride with the locals. Redditch Skatepark has featured in magazines, on television, edits and on DVDs worldwide. Next to the park is Redditch BMX Track managed by Redditch Premiers BMX Club one of the leading BMX race venues in the U.K. Please like their page for further information and updates. https://www.facebook.com/RedditchPremiersBmxClub/

We’re now just waiting on our final wood order… then both the new and original park can be completed!

This build has been powered by people.
4.5km of timber! that’s roughly one side of Redditch to the other.
An artic lorry full of sheets! with even more still to come.
40,000 screws and counting.

Every hour volunteered, every screw installed, every bit of effort, it all adds up to something much bigger than a skatepark.

You’re helping create a space where the next generation in Redditch can grow, connect, and find something that’s theirs.

And we’re proud to say:
If you’re under 18 and live in Redditch, the park will be free to use! Including free equipment hire available where needed (on a first come, first served basis).

This is for the community.
This is for the future.

Not long now, follow our page for opening announcements!

We’re aware of recent posts, comments and concerns following the decision to delay the Relax Jam at Redditch Skatepark.

We have had to engage a solicitor to manage a situation however letters that have been sent have unfortunately been ignored.

As a registered charity, we have a duty to act in the best interests of the project, the community, and the long-term sustainability of the park. The decision to delay the event was carefully considered and based on a number of factors, including ongoing build challenges due to weather, safety considerations, and our commitment to delivering a high-quality reopening for all users.

We recognise that this decision may be disappointing, particularly for those involved in organising or attending the event. We remain appreciative of the time, effort, and passion contributed by individuals across the skatepark community.

We are clear that any engagement with our staff and volunteers must remain respectful at all times. They play a vital role in delivering this project for the benefit of the wider community.

We are aware that concerns have been raised with external bodies, including the Charity Commission and local representatives. We welcome appropriate scrutiny and are confident that our decisions have been made responsibly, transparently, and in line with our governing document and trustee duties.

Our focus remains on completing the park to a safe and high standard and reopening it for the benefit of the whole community. We will continue to provide updates, including details of a rescheduled event in due course.

Thank you for your continued support.

ANYONE CAUGHT RIDING OR IN THE SKATEPARK WHILE IT IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION WILL BE BANNED WHEN WE ARE OPEN.
We are aware of people using the Skatepark while it is still a construction site. It is not yet safe to use and is a construction site. You are also hindering our work to get this open for you. Parents please tell your children if they are using the Pump Track to keep out the Skatepark until we are open.
