Another project finished in time for Christmas.
So, Mark contacted me and we discussed the way forward, when he dropped it off I could see it wasn't too bad just re-assembled incorrectly.
New parts pulled out of stock and the rebuild began.
Firstly to fit the iconic Raleigh head badge, new bottom bracket set and before long it was time to return it to Mark. To say he was blown away to see it back in a fully rideable condition is an understatement!!
All part of the joy of working with the clients to bring a bike back to life! Here's to more projects being finished ( and a few back orders too!) in 2026!!

Another tricky project finished. A set of Dursley Pedersen front forks, replace all four main tubes, shape the ends to the original design, lead solder all joints as they would have been back in the 1900's at the factory.
Just a couple of little areas to finish up and then ship them back to the client in Italy.
Onto the next projects next week for upcoming events

Wtf!! Where has the last 41 years gone??!!
4th January 1984 I started my own little business on the back of our families hobby/ interest of old cycles.
It now covers steel frame repairs, wheel building, part or full restorations and supplying a wide range of parts.
Although I'm still not taking anymore work on atm ( the backlog is reducing!!) it's good to still enjoy everyday just like it was all those years ago!!

No more work will be taken in for the foreseeable future.
Those who already have work to be completed with me, I will get round to finishing before taking on more jobs.

Today would have been my late brother, Dave's, AKA Pinky, 63rd birthday!
Whatever you do today, take some time to remember a favourite time you spent with him, or share a picture here.
I'm not sure what he would make of the world atm, but I can say he would probably still be making custom beautiful cycle frames and repairing damaged ones.

RiP Pinky, we miss everyday, but are thankful for knowing you

Having had the opportunity last year to consolidate all my storage units into one, I've decided that some bikes need to go!
