Today was the annual Christmas bootcamp, we got to have a laugh together playing white elephant during our circuit and also managed to collectively raise £300 for I'm so thankful for all these guys who continue to turn up to my class all year round and for always sticking in a bit extra at the end of the year towards such a great cause,you did good guys 🙏

The hardest post any pet owner has to write. Yesterday with great sadness we had to say goodbye to our best friend Poppy! We adopted Pops as a puppy at roughly 9 months old, she didn't get the greatest start in life but we were lucky enough to be the ones who became her forever home! 😊 We have so many lovely memories with her, she put a smile on absolutely every person's face she ever met! Words cannot express how much she will be missed! Pops, you will never be forgotten! Your presence in our lives was the most enriching experience we could have ever wished for, truly the best dog ever! Rest in peace sh*tbag, you will continue to be loved for evermore! 🐾 ♥️🌈

It's been a while since I introduced myself so here we go 😜
I'm George and I'm a personal trainer in Redcar who's experienced many of the barriers to exercise that you can go though first hand. My entire life I've been ocd, suffered with depression and anxiety, this lead me to partying and binge eating to cope with how I felt for many years until one day I went all in on trying to better myself and since then I'm happily 11 years sober and now run my own business helping other people to also find happiness through exercise! I'd love that to be the end of my story but during the pandemic out of the blue I got really ill and spent the better part of 3 years dealing with heart failure! I went from having above average fitness to struggling to walk up the stairs in my home and this really took it's toll on me mentally and physically! It was a scary time but I've now had an operation to help correct the irregular rhythm that caused the issue and I'm on the mend. Most importantly for my sanity I'm able to exercise again and I'm working towards regaining my fitness and managing my mental heath though exercise.
I'm not sharing this story for any pitty or praise but as the best example I can of why I think I'm the right guy for many people to train with, because I don't just empathise with you - I know exactly what it feels like to go though it! I'm currently looking to fill some gaps in my diary I have and would love the opportunity to meet anyone that needs support trying to get fit and lose weight. I train people one to one, in small groups and even run a bootcamp class on a Saturday morning. All of my training takes place in a private setting, not a public gym so you can rest assured it's one of the safest spaces you can visit to try and better yourself! Here's a question you'd have to try pretty hard to give a wrong answer for, but I'm willing to state that no matter where people would place this answer on their list the majority of people workout to look and feel better.. Simple right?

So if you're sat there not looking or feeling how you want and you are not working out you are leaving so much progress on the table! You don't have to go crazy, you can start with a 5 minute walk around your block but keep doing it! An hour's exercise may seem daunting but if you break it into small chunks it all adds up and the benefits to your mental and physical health are unparalleled. There's a famous quote that "Food is the most abused anxiety drug & exercise is the most underutilized antidepressant." It really is true and the way I see it if you already don't feel great then what have you got to lose from trying? Get out there and kick f**k out of life man, only you can make this change!

Who's ready for the week ahead? 😬 Sunday's are a daunting time for many but they don't have to be, make yourself a bit of a plan for the next week of how you're going to navigate your time. If you struggle with committing to plans or just don't even know where to start managing your time, this is exactly the type of game changing advice a personal trainer can help you with. Remeber, exercise is very important but it only makes up a small percentage of your actual day, it's what you do outside of the gym that can make or break your progress! It can get overwhelming so if you're needing a bit of guidance on how navigate it all chuck me a message and I'm more than happy to help with zero obligation, and for the ones who are interested I offer one to one / pairs training and run a weekly bootcamp on a Saturday.
