It's been a while since I introduced myself so here we go 😜
I'm George and I'm a personal trainer in Redcar who's experienced many of the barriers to exercise that you can go though first hand. My entire life I've been ocd, suffered with depression and anxiety, this lead me to partying and binge eating to cope with how I felt for many years until one day I went all in on trying to better myself and since then I'm happily 11 years sober and now run my own business helping other people to also find happiness through exercise! I'd love that to be the end of my story but during the pandemic out of the blue I got really ill and spent the better part of 3 years dealing with heart failure! I went from having above average fitness to struggling to walk up the stairs in my home and this really took it's toll on me mentally and physically! It was a scary time but I've now had an operation to help correct the irregular rhythm that caused the issue and I'm on the mend. Most importantly for my sanity I'm able to exercise again and I'm working towards regaining my fitness and managing my mental heath though exercise.
I'm not sharing this story for any pitty or praise but as the best example I can of why I think I'm the right guy for many people to train with, because I don't just empathise with you - I know exactly what it feels like to go though it! I'm currently looking to fill some gaps in my diary I have and would love the opportunity to meet anyone that needs support trying to get fit and lose weight. I train people one to one, in small groups and even run a bootcamp class on a Saturday morning. All of my training takes place in a private setting, not a public gym so you can rest assured it's one of the safest spaces you can visit to try and better yourself!
