I always here "what are you training for Ian " my answer is simply old age,
being in my mid 40s I'm not ignorant to the fact I'm at higher risk of alot of nasty life threatening chronic illnesses. Alot of chronic illnesses can be avoided, it's pretty simple really.
But not as simple as shoveling ultra processed food and sugary beverages into us sat on the couch .
Bad diet and lack of exercise can cause a number of serious conditions
Heart disease,
☢️Diabetes
☢️High blood pressure
☢️High cholesterol
☢️Liver diseases
☢️Sleep apnea
☢️Certain cancers.
☢️Anxiety, depression,panic attacks
☢️Bone and muscle atrophy , the list goes on.
We see older people with these illnesses, yet most of us still do nothing to combat this. I'm not sure if it's only me that notices Greggs and Macdonald's drive through always have ques, is this because the food is just awesome or is it purely convenience.?
The kids will also start developing these diseases younger and younger as 80% of the avarge childs diet is ultra processed now.
The NHS is on its knees so we won't have a chance in 20 years time if we do get sick.
I for 1 am going to give myself the best change to. Not be housebound taking a huge amount of medication to keep me alive which are causing additional illnesses when I'm in the second half of my time on this earth. Stop burying your heads in the sand folks .
