It is said that cricket was first played on the common in 1666. RCC was officially founded pre 1823.

Joining Redbourn CC

Redbourn Cricket Club offer playing and social membership. We have four XI's playing in the Saracens League (Divisions 3,6,12 & 14). The membership fees for 2012 are as follows:
Senior £180
Junior (Under 18)£60 (which includes parent's social membership + £15 Gift Aid).£30 for additional sibling or £30 per child if dependant of Senior player)
Full-time student/Unemployed £75

Ladies 100 Club membership
Social £40
Vice President Voluntary donation
100 Club £60 per number
All cheques should be made payable to Redbourn Cricket Club and paid to either the Treasurer or any other committee member. Any playing member who introduces a new playing member receives back half their membership fee once both members have paid their subscriptions. Any member of the 100 Club is automatically made a social member. To join this friendly club or for more information contact James Bunce (Chairman), Peter Cridland(Secretary) or any captain. :)

Part of Redbourn CC's update of our communications strategy is a better online presence - so we will be using this page to give out more regular updates of the Redbourn newsletter, events, matches, selection etc.

We have been trying out the PaceFlow app from Dineticq.

Samir was kind enough to volunteer to be our Guinea pig. We submitted two videos and the report came back within hours. The report highlights the biomechanical strengths of the action as well as flagging up any potential for injuries or questions about the legality (none for Samir!) of the action. It gives the bowler and the coach a good indication of the areas to improve for maximum benefit.

The funeral of Roy Woods, a lifelong member of Redbourn Cricket Club, will take place at 11am on Wednesday 3rd September at St Mary’s Church, Redbourn. All are welcome to join us at the Cricket Club following the service to remember and share stories about Roy.

Come down to RCC to celebrate the last Friday of term. Mama’s Mexican will be serving various flavours of fajitas £8, burritos £8 and sharing nachos £9 - from 6pm.

We are encouraging all members - seniors, juniors and social - to join us on Saturday 6th April at 10am to help prepare the club ahead of the 2024 season. 30 minutes or a few hours, any help is greatly appreciated.
