Really great session yesterday at Edgwarebury Park. Trainee Charlie learnt to ride in the sunshine, and by the end could do a full circuit of the court. This was with many distractions like footballers, other cyclists riding no hands - we agreed they were “show offs” - and basketballers. Well done Charlie!

It was so great to be out yesterday teaching someone to ride again. I have missed the contact with customers, and the satisfaction of seeing a new cyclist emerge. “David” went from balancing without pedals (previous post) to cycling a few hundred metres across Nomansland Common, between Harpenden and Wheathampstead. A lovely setting to learn and also for me to work.

There’s a bit more preparation to do and things progress slightly more slowly with Covid arrangements, but it is still possible to teach people to ride.
