The English Senior Women’s Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship is under way at Abbeydale Golf Club in Sheffield, with one round completed and two to go.

Spotted at least 8 participants from Berkshire clubs on the various leaderboards - let’s give them a cheer! 🙌

Also under way: the English Women’s Strokeplay Championship at Ganton Golf Club, Scarborough, which attracts elite amateur players from around the globe.

After round 1 Castle Royle’s Bella Kent is lying joint 15th on level par, 5 behind the leader. If she can stay in the top 40 after round 2, she will make the cut to play the final day (36 holes). Go Bella! 🙌

The Berkshire team made a great start this morning, beating Oxfordshire 3.5 to 1.5 - see match results below.

And in the afternoon sessions against Warwickshire, both the foursomes matches are currently all square, but two of the singles were won early and Berkshire is up in the third.

Fingers crossed but looking good so far!
