At GBS Swim School, we provide high-quality children’s and adult swimming lessons at Leighton Park School, Reading (Berkshire).

Our 30-minute lessons are designed for children aged 4 - 18 years, taught in small groups so every swimmer receives the attention and support they need.

Lessons run Monday to Sunday and cater for all ability levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers.

For more experienced swimmers, we also offer GBS Swim Squad. These 45-minute sessions are designed for children and teenagers up to 18 years old who want to take their swimming to the next level.

Join GBS Swim School this summer at Leighton Park School for our popular intensive swimming crash courses for children aged 4–18 years.

These week-long courses are perfect for beginners, improvers, advanced swimmers and stamina swimmers, helping children build confidence and improve their skills through daily swimming practice.

Is your child already a Stamina Swimmer? Take their swimming to the next level by joining the GBS Swim Squad! - an exciting step up designed to refine their skills and boost performance in the water.

Each session focuses on developing technique, distance, fitness and speed, helping swimmers build confidence and performance in the water. There will also be opportunities to compete in GBS swimming galas and proudly showcase their progress.

The GBS Swim Squad is invite only, and swimmers will need to be assessed by our coaches before joining to ensure the squad is the right fit for their ability and development.

GBS Swim School is proud to support Drowning Prevention Week (13–20 June 2026) and help spread the message about the importance of water safety for children. 💙

We are excited to announce that Drowning Prevention Week will be returning from 13-20 June 2026.

As RLSS UK’s biggest water safety campaign, Drowning Prevention Week (DPW) helps empower parents, carers, teachers, and instructors to teach essential water safety education to children aged five to fifteen.

Please help us spread the word and encourage open conversations about water safety with children. Together, we can help our communities enjoy water safely, free from drowning.

🌊 GBS World Ocean Day Art Competition 2025 — Winners Announced!

We are thrilled to reveal the winners of our 3rd Annual World Ocean Day Art Competition!

A huge thank you to all the children who took part and submitted their incredible artwork. We have been so impressed by your creativity, imagination and passion for raising environmental awareness and highlighting the importance of protecting our oceans. 🌍💙

Every child’s effort is truly valued. As a token of appreciation, each participant will receive a GBS World Ocean Day medal, which will be presented by Sandra next week.

After much deliberation, local artist Calina Lefter selected our 2025 winners.

Thank you so much to all the children who entered our World Ocean Day 2025 Art Competition!

Our judge, Calina Lefter, was incredibly impressed with all the wonderful artwork and said that you should all feel extremely proud of your creations.
