Your life doesn’t change just because the calendar flips over, you have to put some work in.

Here are 10 habits to help you make 2026 clearer, lighter and more aligned then ever before:

1. Give yourself 10 minutes everyday before getting up and starting your day, this will give you time to align your day
2. Drink water as your first drink everyday
3. Do a daily stretch
4. Make or check your plan for the day so you don’t just float through the day and end up procrastinating
5. Write down a ‘don’t do’ list on a Monday
6. Make sure you eat regularly
7. Do some form of daily exercise
8. Drink at least 2 litres of liquid a day
9. Count your steps
10. Enjoy yourself every day

This is my client .pound story of his journey with me and he did a cracking job.

When I started training with Ollie Charlton at OC Coaching in December 2024, I was at my heaviest ever, weighing 93kg, and feeling the absolute worst—both physically and mentally. I wasn’t just facing the challenge of losing weight; I was also dealing with significant mental blocks, the ‘gremlins in my head,’ that had always prevented me from bettering myself.
Ollie’s support went far beyond a standard fitness program. Not only did he establish a clear, structured training plan to help me get fitter and lose weight, but he also provided vital coping strategies to tackle those mental challenges head-on. This dual focus was what truly made the difference, helping me overcome the barriers that had previously held me back.
Fast forward to September 2025, and the change is remarkable. I am now happier, fitter, and weighing in at 83kg—a loss of 10 kilograms! More importantly, I have the mental tools to maintain this progress.

Client progress post:

Here is my client Chrissy, who two months ago started working with me to loose some body fat, get stronger and fitter for daily life as well as for rugby. Speed was also a goal of his to work on.

He was ready to go all in at this point. Chrissy has adapted his mindset, created new daily habits and routines, making sure he is regularly moving throughout the day as well as training either doing weights or cardio at least 5 days a week. All coached myself or self motivated which I have been really impressed by.

In the past two months he has lost over 3.5 inches around his waist, and cut his 5km run time by over a minute and a half, now down to 24 minutes and 15 seconds. (He bested his own time again recently since sending me his route!)

This is fantastic dedication and consistency which will keep bringing impressive results.

I honestly can’t wait to see how many goals we can hit over the next few months, his motivation is second to none and I have no doubt he will meet all of them!

Incredible work keep it going!

How often do you move around during the day?

Did you know that the UK average adult spends 9 hours a day sedentary and this is not including the 8 hrs of sleep.

You think back to the stories of the cavemen and women they didn’t sit still until they slept.

Yes times and lifestyle have moved on but they were in much better overall shape and health than we are as a population now.

There are many reasons for this and a big one is the amount of movement we don’t do on a daily basis.

You could move for 7 hours a day by going to the toilet or getting a drink for maybe 5 minutes at a time. This at least wakes your body up and gets that movement in.

But it won’t have any huge positive impact on your health as much as making a conscious effort to stay active for as much time of the day as you can. Do you want to be in the group who don’t move for 9 hours a day and then sleep for 8 more of those? I don’t!

So have a think about how often you move your body during the day and see if you feel you need to improve this to help improve your health and wellness.

INCREDIBLE RESULTS!! 🔥

Want to lose some inches before summer?

My client and friend .hill88 had been struggling to lose inches around his waist or achieve any strength gains.

We were training on and off for 6 weeks due to a number of reasons but then Sam decided, “Right! I have 6 weeks till I get married, let’s up my training and make me meet my target.”

So we did.

Sam’s target was to lose some inches around his waist and gain muscle on his upper body mainly, like a lot of males like to do.

During this 6 weeks Sam went on his two stag do’s, had a few bbq’s and still lost an incredible 3.5inches from his waist. Here he is enjoying his honeymoon with more confidence & happiness in himself. 👏🏼

This proves that you can still enjoy yourself and lose inches from around your waist.
