What a wonderful opening weekend!

Going forward, our boutique will be open during the following hours, and we’d love to welcome you in to browse, shop, and say hello.

After months of planning, building, decorating, moving stock, late nights and plenty of hard work, we are so excited to finally open the doors to the new Jewels & Horses Boutique.

This beautiful new space has been a real labour of love and we cannot wait to share it with you.

Guilty 🙋🏻‍♀️!

Dear Shoes Who Were Never Meant For The Yard,

I don’t know how this keeps happening.

You start the day innocent. Clean. Optimistic. Sitting by the door like, “We’re just popping out, right?”

And somehow, against all planning, common sense, and past experience, you end up at the yard.

Again.

It’s never intentional. I tell myself it’ll be quick. Five minutes. In and out. I won’t step in anything. I’ll stay on the concrete. I’ll hover.
Reader, I do not hover.

The moment I arrive, the laws of footwear reality change. A horse needs something. A gate is slightly ajar. Someone says, “While you’re here…” and suddenly you’re knee-deep in decisions you made while wearing the wrong shoes.

You step carefully at first. Like a Victorian lady lifting her skirt. ( Hat Tip , M'Lady)

Then the mud clocks you..... One foot sinks. The other tries to escape. The shoes absorb yard water like they’ve been training for this moment , the giant absorbent shoe competition.

By the time you leave, you are no longer shoes. You are a tragic casualty.
You smell of hay, regret, and whatever that mysterious warm , steaming pile was.

Back at home, you sit by the radiator, traumatised. I apologise to you out loud. I promise it won’t happen again.
We both know this is a lie.

Because tomorrow, I’ll “just pop to the yard.”
And you’ll come with me.

Against your will.
