AAA. Top 10 in England. Racketlon World Champ. Next stop: Warwick. 🏸🎓
There are some moments in coaching that mean a little more than others.
I started coaching Holly when she was just 8 years old. Ten years later, she has achieved three A grades at A Level and secured a place at her first-choice university, the University of Warwick.
And she has done all of that alongside an incredible sporting journey.
🏸 Top 10 England junior ranking
🏆 National & international competition

❤️ Now helping to coach the next generation at VPBA
Holly is proof that academic success and sporting ambition don’t have to be an either/or decision.
But what you see today is the result.
What you don’t see are the 10 years behind it.
The weekly coaching sessions. The group training. The competitions. The wins and losses. Training through GCSEs and A Levels. And an incredibly supportive family who have committed to the journey every step of the way.
Player. Parents. Coach.
Working together consistently, for the long term.
Supporting Holly’s development over the last decade is one of the things I am most proud of in my coaching career — not simply because of the player she has become, but because of the person she has become too.
Congratulations Holly. You absolutely deserve this. ❤️
And this isn’t the end of the story…
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing more about Holly’s 10-year journey from an 8-year-old badminton player to a Top 10 England athlete, Level 2 coach and university student.
