⛵🌞 What a day on the water! 🌞⛵
This weekend, 12 sailors across 7 boats headed down to Thorney Island Sailing Club for an adventure that had a bit of everything!
The day started with a gentle morning breeze as we sailed over to Itchenor before 'dropping anchor' at East Head for a picnic.
Refuelled and ready, we set course towards Hayling. As the wind picked up, so did the excitement!
Tricky conditions kept everyone on their toes, with two boats deciding an impromptu swimming lesson was in order (aka a couple of capsizes! 😂).
Thankfully, all crews members were recovered and everyone made it back safely - tired, windswept, and grinning from ear to ear after a fantastic day.
To round things off, we gathered for pizzas 🍕 and some well-deserved cold refreshments 🍻 before heading home.
A huge thank you to TISC who allowed us to have memorable day on their waters.
