What. A. Weekend. ✨💙
Our two-day show weekend has come to an end, and what an unforgettable celebration it was!
From our tiniest stars aged just 3 years old to our incredible seniors of 18 years, every single performer took to the stage with confidence, passion and joy. Ballet, tap, modern dance, acrobatics and musical theatre… every performance was simply sensational.
The smiles, the laughter, the backstage excitement and the love shared between our dancers is something I’ll treasure forever.
People often ask about competitions, but while we may not be a competitive dance school, what we do have is something incredibly special… a community built on kindness, encouragement, friendship and inclusivity.
Seeing our pupils cheer one another on, celebrate each other’s successes, help one another backstage and genuinely care for each other makes me prouder than any trophy ever could.
At Starlet, it’s never been about being the best. It’s about being your best. It’s about having the courage to step onto that stage, giving your all, believing in yourself and walking off knowing you gave it everything you had. That is the greatest achievement of all.
Every child deserves to feel valued, included and celebrated, regardless of ability. Every child deserves the chance to shine. That has always been, and always will be, at the heart of our school.
A huge thank you to my incredible chaperones and helpers who gave up their time to support me and our dancers. Your kindness, patience and commitment never go unnoticed, and I am so grateful for every one of you.
To my wonderful assistant teachers and teachers… thank you for your endless dedication, passion and love for every child. Starlet is what it is because of the incredible team standing beside me, and I couldn’t do it without you.
To our amazing dance parents… thank you for your unwavering support, for every lift to class, every backstage snack, every word of encouragement and for always going above and beyond. We truly have the most wonderful dance family.
And finally, to every single one of our dancers…
Thank you for trusting us, for working so hard, for making us laugh, for supporting one another and for reminding us why we do what we do. Watching you grow—not only into beautiful dancers, but into kind, respectful and caring young people—is the greatest privilege of all.
This weekend wasn’t just about putting on a show. It was about celebrating every child, every achievement, every friendship and everything that makes Starlet so special.
My heart is so full. I am one incredibly proud Dance Principal.
One Love ~ One Starlet. ⭐💙
