The competition runs in Popley from Wednesday 30th September to Wednesday 11th September 2015. People score points and win prizes by walking, cycling, scooting or running from point to point

and tapping a registered and activated Beat the Street RIFD (Radio Frequency ID) card on special sensors (Beat Boxes). These Beat Boxes are placed on lamp posts across dedicated routes where the game is being played. A player taps their Beat the Street card on various Beat Boxes on their way to and from school, work of the shops. Registered players can win regular spot prizes for a 'lucky tap' on a Beat Box. The more Beat Boxes you tap, the further you travel and the greater your chance of winning a prize. Registered teams with 25+ members can win team prizes at the end of the competition for the highest number of total and the highest number of average points.
