Megan Lockley has proved herself to be a totally committed young athlete at Thames Valley Pro Taekwon-Do achieving great success in regional, national, and international level competition throughout the 2023/24 sporting & academic year.

This young athlete manages to dedicate 3-4 sessions per week with her coaches at Thames Valley Pro Taekwon-Do as well as her own personal training, gaining both individual & team selection with ITF England Taekwon-Do for the EITF European Championships 2024, Koper, Slovenia during April this year.

Travelling across the UK at least several weekends every month she has competed in this season alone 19 competitions reaching no less than 30 finals achieving 38 medals including: 21 Gold 🥇, 9 Silver🥈and 8 Bronze 🥉 in both 🥋Pattern & 🥊 Sparring categories.

Megan is literally a ‘medal machine’ worthy of some significant recognition as you can see from her impressive haul of over 125 🥇🥈🥉 medal results.

Combined with her dedication to competition she has also gained the additional rank of 2nd Degree Black Belt in March with the United Kingdom Taekwon-Do Association UKTA

She continues to improve and inspire all other athletes at Thames Valley Pro Taekwon-Do Reading as an assistant coach by helping younger students improve their own skills throughout the week.

Whilst her continues after school she has not neglected her academic studies at Theale Green School and has achieved this year an impressive 1 GCSE Grade 8/A*, 6 Grade 7/A, 2 Grade 6/B plus a Level 2 in Further Maths 👊🏼

This perhaps highlights the dedication, discipline, and focus necessary to pursue both academic and sporting success for this young person aptly coining the phrase !

End of an era - start of the new Crispins Leisure Centre Wokingham

Management change over this week at our Wokingham venue for Thames Valley Pro Taekwon-Do established since 1989

There will be directional signage visible from the car park to access the new entrance of the building which has been moved from front to rear of the sports facilities.

St. Crispin’s School staff will also be in the building on Wednesday to assist with the new system.

Summer 2024 training schedule:

🥋 4-5pm Child U8yrs
🥋 6-7.30pm Child U13yrs
🥋 7.30-9pm Youth U18/Adult
