🩵 Hurricane Jax’s Retirement 🧡
Some dogs leave a mark on a club.
Some dogs ARE the club, and Jax is one of those.
While we always knew this day would come, we didn’t expect it to come quite so soon for this boy. He’s very much still alive and yelling by the way, just now retiring 😂
Jax began his flyball career in 2018 with Bristol Ball-istics, who gave him the perfect start and, most importantly, loved him just as much as we do 🥰
When he later joined us, he didn’t just slot into the team, he helped shape quite literally everything we’ve become. Quite simply put, Overdrive would not be where it is today without him.
Jax has created quite the CV:
⭐️ PB of 3.66 💨
⭐️ Helped us through countless club records including our current PB of 15.29 (we won’t talk about the 15.03 where he spat his ball 😐)
⭐️ Anchored several line-ups from the very start of the club
⭐️ Deafened and caused back injuries to multiple team members (🫣🤪)
⭐️ Helped us successfully debut countless green dogs
⭐️ Decided at the big age of 8 that spitting balls was more fun than running clean
Thank you Jax, for the speed, the noise, the tug whips and bruises 🧡
And thank you Dan, for choosing to share him with us for the last 3 and a half years. He’s left us a legacy that will stick around for a long time to come.
