This footage s simply the clip intro for the discussion on Laahp Sau. Lap Sau is one of the most basic skills practices by every student of the Art, regardless of lineage.

Laahp Sau or Laahp Da has so much potential and, with good footwork, can be applied in ways that can vary greatly.

As you are all aware James Sinclair teaches a weekly live zoom session (he does have breaks when life dictates!). We now have over 700 ½ hour high quality edited videos in our online collection.

We have just finished editing the last of a 14 week discussion on the Wooden Dummy, covering the form and its variations, coaching, and the applications within Chi Sau, self defence and sparring.

Wing Chun Kuen is sometimes argued as being a set of concepts and not a style. This is evidently a strange idea!

Why oh why, is the Art then so evident, by simply looking at a practitioner? From the weight distribution to the methodology of the skills, it is obvious that it is a stylised form of movement. Therefore, a style!

It seems most people can see many more similarities than differences between different 'clans, heritages, lineages' even simply between different teachers. Why fight being recognised as a style when you share so much?

The questions above are in large part rhetorical and do not require your input or thoughts. If you do wish to comment, please refrain from foul language and a lack of decent manners.

This short video is simply the introduction to our most recent live zoom discussion on Lok Sau with movement. And it is obviously a 'stylised' way of training. It is very skilful and enjoyable.

Who fights like? No one, but the 'concepts' within (did you like that?) are very useful and cross from sparring and self defence. If you don't know it, don't train it, and don't understand it, please don't comment on it!

James Sinclair was simply teaching, and these clips are just extracted out of the session, not rehearsed or choreographed and often quite slow as he is talking to the audience.

Our newly designed wallbags (Saa Bau) arrived today.....!!!!

They are superb.

Very nice print template and great canvas. Heavy duty and quite the statement to hang on the wall.

Like everything these days, we had to increase the price considerably.

However, the design and quality are better than ever, and besides, how many will you get through in a lifetime!

The Saa Bau or Sandbag Training is an essential part of the hand conditioning regimen for students.

This clip is from the 1999 video, and subsequent DVD, entitled Wing Chun 'Pure & Simple'

James Sinclair added a short section on wallbag training for beginners. Although the environment is very noisy it should be of some help. For those very new to wallbag training we added some some subtitles to help you understand what is going on.

Sadly, we feel that many people will not take the time to take in the valuable info as it requires some effort to read.

It will be interesting to see if you find it of value.

We later released a wallbag Training DVD that was nearly 2 hours in duration.

This DVD has since been re-edited and upscaled. We have made considerable changes to the original footage, and added 20 minutes of new material. It is now available as an online streaming video with chapters.

We also have a 'Dit Da Jow' clip that we are considering adding here. Specifically for those who know very little on hand treatment. Let us know.....

As a a world respected Acupuncturist and herbalist you know the ‘Jow’ he produced is 100% safe and non toxic, unlike some traditional home brews! He lives in California and unfortunately shipping cost are now ridiculous. He only ships within the USA. We hope this helps all the American Wing Chun Kung fu brothers and sisters.

Shot way back in 1999 we found the original DV tape. This is released in colour for the first time as the original, from our DVD Wing Chun Pure & Simple , was released in atmospheric black and white. We hope you enjoy even if you have sen the 1999 release.
