LDA is based in the centre of Rayleigh on Websters wayl. We offer classes from the age of 2 upwards. We provide lessons in Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Modern, Tap, and Street Dance. We aim to provide a safe inspiring place for children to learn. At LDA there is the opportunity to take part in ISTD examinations, compete in local dance competitions and much more! All teachers are CRB/DBS checked and are fully qualified in their area of expertise.

We know it can feel a little strange dropping them at the studio door and having absolutely no idea what goes on once it closes!

But trust us, giving dancers that little bit of independence can make such a difference to their confidence, concentration and willingness to give things a go.

You’ll get your chance to see what they’ve been working on when they take to the stage (plus, of course, the many unofficial performances you’ll be treated to at home in the meantime.)

A little timetable update:

As we head towards show season, there have been a few changes to our timetable.

Please take a moment to check your child’s portal to make sure their classes and timings are all showing correctly.

If anything doesn’t look quite right or needs amending, please let us know so we can get it sorted before the new term begins.

A little throwback to our Mini Musical Workshop earlier this month! ✨

Our minis spent the session singing, dancing and acting their way through a brilliant hour of musical theatre fun.

Building confidence, learning new skills and, most importantly, having a LOT of fun along the way.

✨Pre-School spaces now available✨

Our Saturday 9am Pre-School class is perfect for children aged 2- 4 who are ready to dip their toes into dance.

We focus on:
• Simple steps and coordination
• Listening skills
• Confidence building
• Having lots of fun (the most important bit)

It’s gentle, welcoming and the ideal first introduction to structured classes, without any pressure. Just music, props like wands and ribbons, and plenty of smiles.

If your little one is always twirling around the living room, this might be their moment.✨
