Introducing Lisa!

Lisa has been an ongoing client with myself for a while now with a 6 month gap due to me being in another gym.

Firstly it was just about showing up in line with her busy schedule but she always managed to fit in her training so I knew she would do well but the results are incredible!

Way more muscle definition, more toned, less fat and bloating! But the biggest win is the confidence she carries!

A few niggles and tantrums along the way but she stayed consistent with running her own business and navigating her social life and finding a perfect balance!

Intensity beats duration. Every time.
I see it every week, lifters grinding through the same sessions for months. Same weights. Same physique. The fix isn’t more time in the gym. It’s more INTENSITY in the time you’re already putting in.
Here are the 8 rules I use with every client to dial up the stimulus and actually build muscle 👇
01 → Progressive overload
02 → Train close to failure
03 → Control the eccentric
04 → Rest with purpose
05 → Push past failure (sparingly)
06 → Mind-to-muscle
07 → Train each muscle 2x per week
08 → Track every session
Apply just 2 or 3 of these consistently and your next 12 weeks will look nothing like your last 12.
Save this. Send it to your training partner. Then go put it to work in your next session.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month 🧠

Something I don’t talk about enough openly. I’ve struggled with my own mental health, and I still do at times. It’s part of the reason I do what I do.

Training changed things for me. Not overnight, and not in a “gym fixes everything” way but having something to show up for, a goal to chase, and people around me who got it, that mattered. It still does. I wouldn’t have got my dream job or competed at the level I have without that drive.

As a coach, I see it every week. Clients walk in carrying stuff they haven’t told anyone about. An hour later they leave a bit lighter. That’s not the programme that’s the act of showing up, moving your body, and being around people who want you to do well.

If you’ve been thinking about trying something new, a PT session, a Strong class, lifting for the first time, this is your sign. You don’t need to be “fit enough” first. You don’t need a plan. You just need to walk in.
The gym and training is definitely my outlet and I believe has saved my life a few times.

And if you’re struggling and not ready for any of that yet my inbox is open. No coaching pitch, no pressure. Just someone who’ll listen.
