Upper Haugh Cricket Club

On Tuesday Upper Haugh CC welcomed over 70 children from local primary schools. This was part of a range of showcase events run as part of the schools partnership programme and designed to enable children to access inclusive, safe and enjoyable sports activities within community settings. Thankfully the weather was kind. The ground looked fantastic and it was great to see local children enjoying the space and a range of cricketing activities. Our hope is that the introduction of padel to the club will allow us to offer far more opportunities of this kind.

Our thanks go to the sports leaders from Rawmarsh Comprehensive School who did a tremendous job in ensuring everyone enjoyed the day and to Ross Inglis (Wickersley Partnership Trust) for pulling the showcase together.

A massive well done to our Trainee Quantity Surveyor, Ashleigh Hurst, who completed a 5k Muddy Race for Life run over the weekend in aid of Cancer Research UK.

Ashleigh and her team set an initial target of £250 and have already smashed it, raising an incredible £475 so far — and the donation page is still open!
