Welcome to Karate Rocks!

We are Thanet Shotokan Karate, members of the Traditional Shotokan Karate Association, and we're inviting you to join the hunt and find karate rocks!

Special rocks have been hidden across Thanet and the surrounding areas. Every one has been decorated and hidden by our members, who are now waiting eagerly for their rocks to be found!

For the FINDERS:
Please take a photo of/with the rock you found and post it to the page with a quick comment about where you found it. Then you have two options:
1) Rehide it for somebody else to find OR
2) Bring it along to your local dojo (please check the website for training times and locations) and hand it in to the instructor. In return, we'll give you a free lesson!

Of course, there have to be a few rules as with all games, but these are easy to remember: One free lesson per rock, up to a maximum of three. Each free lesson must be undertaken at a different dojo location, and only one free lesson per week will be honoured. (So if you find two or even three rocks, you can use one and save the other(s) for next week.)

And we want our members to enjoy the game too, so for the HIDERS:
1) Decorate your rock(s)
2) Take a photo and post it to this page
3) Hide your rock(s)

Each photo you post will be classed as an entry into the "Rock of the Month" competition. Each month, the creator of the best decorated rock will become the featured "Karartist" for the coming month!

Now, we can't have rules for finders and not for hiders, so here are yours:
1) All decorated rocks must be karate-related
2) You must make "Karate Rocks on Facebook" clear on your rock, so that the finders know where to post their photos.

Aaand that's it! Get out there and keep your eyes peeled; you'll soon find Karate Rocks!!
