So those that know me and know my love of carp fishing and what it means to me, know that my love for the sport is all thanks to one person, the original rodfather, my hero my idol my pops, well I always promised that I would catch a uk 40lb carp in memory of him and low and behold last night I did it I caught a 40lb mirror carp called "bullet" out of claypit fishery in Brook ashford, to say I'm elated is an understatement, I'm gobsmacked and the sheer joy this fish has brought me, not just for me but in loving memory of my dad, miss ya pops and in the words of pink Floyd " how I wish, how I wish you were here

So no more fish for me yet but my best mate paul goodacre and brother in law Tony Roberts are getting amongst the fish now having both lost one and banked one each a 10lb 5oz Common and an 18lb 8oz mirror both caught on the Nutz hybrid 20mm boilies

Sorry for being quiet recently but decided on a little trip back to essex to see family and friends and also to tackle an old fishing haunt of mine.
3.5 years since I last fished THE MILL DAY TICKET LAKE ESSEXCARPSYNDICATES and guess what only gone and done my p.b yet again on my ever faithful "Nutz hybrid " fished at range over a heavy bed of nutz boilies corn pellet h**p and chick peas to say I'm buzzing is definitely an understatement.

So what a week in my carp fishing journey to break my pb twice in a session unreal but to then leave the water for 36 hours come back for another 36hours and have another pb in the shape of a 31lb 8oz common called the big girl wow buzzing ain't the word...........
So 3 of the 5 target fish down I'm definitely being shone upon.
So here she is the "Big Girl" in all her glory and yet again caught using the ever faithful "Nutz Hybrid" pop up can't wait to start sharing this bait and seeing other people catching on it

What a session this is for me on my syndicate not only have I broken my pb not once but twice with the fish the big lin then the scar common I've now just added a 3rd capture in the shape of a modestly sized 24lb common yet again caught on my nutz hybrid pop up

Buzzing with this capture coz it was definitely worth the effort and the blank sessions. Caught on my ever faithful "Nutz Hybrid" pop up fished at 60 yds over a bed of spod mix and nutz bait
So here she is all 30lb 4oz of the fish known as the big lin
