🛡️ Shields Match Recap 🏉

A lot to be proud of from today’s game in tough conditions. The team showed real grit and discipline, especially in defence keeping the opposition from crossing the line with a huge collective effort.

The forwards led the charge with Charlie, Nathan and Lucas combining brilliantly through the middle, running strong and straight to give the team great field position. The work rate across the whole team was excellent and the tempo of the game was controlled well when it mattered.

There were some really smart moments too, good decision making around the ruck and great pressure on their key players, which kept them on the back foot for long spells.

Not the score we wanted but what a game it was there was big hits, big runs and even though the pitch was battered the kids handled it well on both teams.
Attacking was great today our speed and hard runs caught the opposition out but a couple of errors that led to the opposition getting through cost us but we was always trying hard to push back and never gave up.
