From 1973 The Gold Mine nightclub was made famous as the UK's number one night spot in the 70s & 80s for its Jazz, Funk and Soul music. Sadly the original club was demolished

After 6 funktastic years at Orsett we have moved to a brilliant new venue. Ingrebourne golf & country club in Rainham, Essex is the new home and what a great venue it is. The original club was a mecca for people from far

around. The "Soul Family" came from all over the country to enjoy the music, people and ambiance. Its about picking up this legacy and to preserve it going forward for everyone to enjoy. 5 Star Soul at The Gold Mine says everything about the nights, top DJ's, top music, top location, top funkers ! It establishes the Goldmine name again where it should be, at the very top of the tree !"

With the explosion of many Jazz, Funk and Soul nights and fuelled by the local internet soul radio stations, they have revitalised the scene and opened it up to a much wider audience, attracting many younger followers to cement the musical following going forward. We are looking forward to seeing you on the dance floor!
