Avon Summer League – Week 4 🎾🌬️

It was a blustery evening across the Avon Summer League this week, with players battling not only their opponents but also the blustery conditions on the outdoor courts. Thankfully, the rain stayed away long enough for all matches to be completed.

While those outside were adjusting their shots to the gusts, there were a few envious players fortunate enough to be competing indoors! Despite the conditions, there was plenty of competitive tennis, great teamwork, and determination on display throughout the evening.

Well done to everyone who took part and represented Somer Valley Tennis Club. 💙🎾

A slightly cooler evening on Friday saw all 8 teams in action.

🎳 What a cracking night at Radstock Town Football Club!

32 players swapped tennis balls for skittle balls as Team Sinner, captained by coach Sam, took on Team Agassi, captained by coach Pat. In a close and entertaining battle, Team Sinner sneaking the win 😄

Shout out to Dave P and Rachael P for topping the scoreboard for highest scorer for the mens and ladies 👏🍾

The legendary Killer Skittles followed, with Maureen surviving after a nail biting finish between herself, Brenda & Shelley with Maureen earning the new title of “Killer Granny” 👑😂

Huge thanks to Ffiona for organising a brilliant evening and to Radstock Town Football Club for hosting and laying on an amazing spread of food.

Summer League is officially underway!

Four teams were at home & four teams were playing away.
Congrats to our Ladies 1sts & Men’s 2nd team who both got the win.
All other teams got valuable points to start the season off.
