BMA Bermuda Martial Arts (Brazilian JiuJitsu) is a martial arts class for kids and adults. Also offering What will I need? Normal gym attire is fine but no zips.

Bermuda Martial Arts offers Brazilian JiuJitsu classes to adults and children looking to build confidence and learn grappling skills relevant for Rugby and combat sports like UFC as well as for use in self-defence scenarios. Childrens class - aimed at kids from 7+ to improve confidence in adverse situations and develop the necessary skills to diffuse unwanted scenarios of bullying or attacks. Adu

lt class - provides students with necessary skills to be successful in combat sports with the added objective to improve grappling for sport Rugby. Although we are training BJJ a traditional gi is not necessary as all techniques will be geared towards grappling without gi. Groin guard and gum shield is optional. First class is FREE to try out, after that classes are £6 for Syston RFC Members, £7 for non-members and £20 for monthly direct debit.

My bronze medal match from last wknds pro division. Really enjoyed competing again after another year doing other stuff. I'm 42 next month but definitely feel like I can hang with all the young guys at physically and technically thanks to the training at . Be good to come back with a bit more momentum next time and have a good crack at winning it.

2025, another big year. Thanks to everyone that is a part of BMA. This year we have delivered wrestling, grappling and BJJ classes to hundreds of students across beginners, advanced and kids classes and we are planning a massive 2026.
The highlights:

We raised 10k for the Childrens Trust
Conquered the 3 Peaks Challenge
Won the Quintet at
Graded 2 black belts
Won countless adult grappling medals
Kids team smashed comps and keeps growing

The BMA Annual awards winners of 2025!

Competitor of year - .edwardsbjj for consistently wrecking the comp scene all year especially his performance in the quintet.

Most Improved - 17 years old and been more consistent on adult classes than 99% of any other members. The results are showing as he has made massive jumps this year.

Clubman - For all the work he puts in with the kids competition team is our worthy Clubman this year

Phil Mitchell-alike - hes been looking unstoppable and hard to see ever losing his crown.

Most Consistent - .edwardsbjj smashed the hours spent on mats this year but the true challenge begins next year, will we ever see him again never mind mist consistent?

B@stard of the year - The easiest ever to choose. After watching go 100% on all the teens that move up to the adult class it was never in doubt. Refusing to accept that the kids dont deserve to be wristlocked also makes him the biggest b@stard of the year.

Congrats to everyone on your prestigious awards. For everyine else its time to pick an award to aim for and make it your goal of 2026 to achieve!!
