Sunday shoutout to this one 👏❤️

This one gets two photos because honestly… WOW 🤩🔥

Steph was one of my first new clients when DUFFIT HQ launched. Her goal wasn’t weight loss—it was preparing her body for the London Marathon while managing ongoing hamstring issues.

Instead of jumping straight into heavy strength work, we stripped everything back. Mobility, glute strength and building solid foundations became the priority. It wasn’t glamorous, but Steph stayed CONSISTENT, trusted the process and ticked every box. 💪

As marathon training progressed, so did her confidence. Her hamstrings felt stronger, her runs felt better, and we focused on fuelling performance rather than chasing weight loss.

The result? She not only completed the London Marathon… she smashed her PB! 🏃‍♀️🎉👏

But she didn’t stop there. With her wedding coming up this year 💍, Steph set herself a new goal—to feel amazing in her dress. She’s now following an 80/20 approach to nutrition, enjoying training, balancing life with two young girls and building a healthy relationship with food.

💜Pre-workout = personality trait
💜 Stair walk after leg day is criminal
💜Gym compliments >>> regular compliments “looking strong 💪🏻”
💜Hair wash days determine the split but hair is never clean for long
💜One good playlist can fix everything
💜The gym became therapy without warning.

✔️ Protein really does help you feel fuller
✔️ Sleep affects your progress more than you think
✔️ You do NOT need to train 7 days a week
✔️ The “perfect plan” means nothing if you can’t stick to it

Things I would NEVER do as a Personal Trainer 👀

❌ Make you feel guilty for missing one workout
❌ Tell you to starve yourself to lose weight
❌ Ignore your mental health around fitness
❌ Shame your body at any stage
❌ Give you a “one size fits all” plan no cookie 🍪 cutter crap!
❌ Pretend progress is linear

Your fitness journey should make you stronger — not miserable. 🤍

The goal is confidence, energy, strength & sustainability. Always.

In light of this song trending why not dedicate this weeks Sunday shoutout to Mel!! She’s going to hate me for these pics! But also girl we need an updated pic because there’s been even more progress since this one was taken!! Mel jumped on board with me a while back she’d been going to classes and dabbled in the gym by herself with a few bits but wanted some structure and a bit of a push!! And man has this girl worked!! She’s never shy to smash all of her sessions set and when she ticks those boxes the results show!! During this time like a lot of my clients she’s had holidays birthdays and celebrations but her lifestyle has changed for the better and there’s no going back! She understands what it takes to dial in to reach her goals and she also knows when it’s ok to take the foot of the gas a bit when she needs to enjoy life. Shes got a busy year coming up and we’re not finished yet!! She’s set realistic goals that are going to keep her on track for her sisters wedding this year whilst factoring in a couple more holidays and hen dos! Mel’s weekly request from me is “ruin/beast me on legs” and wow does she work her strength is impressive and mighty as is her banter that she brings!! Girl it’s been an absolute pleasure working with you and I’m excited to see where this peach 🍑 ends up by the end of the year! Also did I mention she walked a marathon last week 🤪👏👏 🍑
