On 13th June Queen Camel Bowls Club visited the Mere Bowls Club to play a league match. It was raining and also quite chilly, so not the best conditions to play in. Although we were to play 18 'ends', we only managed the minimum of 10 due to some Ladies struggling to play in the cold. We all retired to the Clubhouse for sandwiches, homemade cakes and a warm drink. The results were 38 shots to Queen Camel and 22 to Mere. Our next match was against Merriott BC but unfortunately that match had to be cancelled.

Last Thursday, Queen Camel Bowls Club welcomed Sherborne Bowls Club to play a League game of Mixed Triples at our ground, off Englands Lane, and their players arrived in good time. As we were all preparing to go out onto the green, clouds began to gather and some rain began to fall. Thankfully, it didn't rain for long and we all went out to play a lovely game in the sun. Our next match with Sherborne is only a few weeks away and we are looking forward to seeing them all again for another match.
