linktr.ee/quattcc Founded in 1908 Quatt CC is a traditional English cricket club based in the South East Shropshire countryside, located 4 miles from Bridgnorth, 10 miles from Kidderminster and 11 miles from Stourbridge. The ground itself is one of t

he original village type grounds that you find dotted around the English countryside and offers that rural feel to the game, whilst also offering modern playing and training facilities. In 2012 our brand new state of the art pavilion was officially opened by Ashes winning Captain, Mike Gatting. Since then we have also added a second pitch complete with its own state-of-the-art changing facilities. In 2021, the 1st XI will compete in the Premier Division of the Shropshire County Cricket League. 2nd XI play in Division 4 and our 3rd XI will compete in Division 7. Both the 1st and 2nd XI won their respective regional group in a truncated 2020 season. The 1st XI also play in the Swancote Energy Smash 100-ball tournament, which we won in 2020 and will look to repeat to feat in 2021. We also have a midweek side competing in in the Wilden Industrial Estates Cricket League, comprising of mostly junior players. In addition, we run Sunday friendly fixtures through the season to ensure all our members get time on the field. In 2021, the Women's 1st XI were expected to compete in the West Midlands Women's Cricket League Premier Division after winning Division 1 in 2019. We also have an Active Women's team that play on Thursday nights in the Shropshire Women's and Girls League. We also enter ECB softball competitions on Sundays in the local area. Our Girls and Ladies section was established in 2001 and continues to grow with players from all over Shropshire and the West Midlands now playing for the team. Our junior membership has grown to over 100 junior members. In 2019, we ran 6 junior teams including an under 9s softball team, under 10s, under 11s, under 13s and an under 15s team. In addition to our junior teams we also run a Colts team in the local adult midweek league to aid the progression of our junior players into adult cricket. QCC caters for junior players of all ages, gender and ability. Above all Quatt Cricket Club offers an enjoyable atmosphere and a sporting calendar that can be thoroughly enjoyed by all who take part. We welcome all who would like to become part of our ever developing club.

Brilliant to see another two Quatt juniors making their Shropshire pathway debuts yesterday. πŸ‘

Jack and Tom represented Shropshire MCC Under 15s, playing alongside fellow QCC teammate Harrison in a tight victory against Wrekin College.

All three contributed with both bat and ball β€” a fantastic achievement and another proud moment for the club.

Well done lads! πŸπŸ’šπŸ’›

This weeks Junior Round-up is here and we are delighted to share our latest news regarding our U14 Girls Softball Team alongside our other junior results.

It was a very special moment for Quatt CC yesterday as our Girls U14 Softball Team played their first ever league fixture against Sentinel CC. 🏏

The girls put in a brilliant team performance, with everyone contributing and enjoying their first official league match. Quatt came away with a fantastic 35-run win - a superb start for this exciting new team!

With the ball, Gracie led the way with 3 wickets, supported by Charlotte and Issy with 1 each.
With the bat, Gracie top scored with 11, with Jess and Issy both adding 8.

There was also some excellent work in the field. Phoebe and Poppy were brilliant behind the stumps, sharing wicket-keeping duties, Chloe J and Amy made some fantastic stops, Chloe W bowled tightly throughout, and Lottie took a great catch.
A real team performance and a brilliant step forward for girls’ cricket at Quatt.

This season, Quatt CC is proud to be working in partnership with McDonald's, McDonald's Wolverhampton Dudley Street McDonald's Wolverhampton Penn Road who have sponsored the club with the specific aim of helping us develop girls’ cricket further. Their support is already helping create more opportunities for girls to train, play, compete and enjoy cricket together.
At QCC we are certainly 'lovin' it'!

Following the match, the girls headed over to McDonalds Bridgnorth where they were provided with well earned meals after the game!

Nathan Hakeman our Junior Coordinator said: β€œFollowing support from Cricket Shropshire through our affiliation package and McDonalds, we have focused on the development of girls’ cricket. We have run girls-only coaching sessions over the last few weeks, so it was amazing to see the girls play in a competitive fixture and, most importantly, having fun.”

Any girls interested in giving cricket a go are very welcome to come along to our next session this Thursday at 6.15pm.
Well done girls - what a great start! πŸ‘
