✨Annual Awards Night✨

Last week we had our annual awards night, where we get to celebrate the amazing progress our swimmers have made over the year!

We were joined by the CEO of leisurefocus Mark Camp-Overy and Sarah Todd from swimengland

Picture 1,2, 3 - In these photos we have Darcey, Zac and George who received being able to swim the length and having shown massive improvement since joining the club.

Picture 4 - In this photo we have Jack who received not 1 but 2 swimming trophies and also picked up the synchro trophy.

Picture 5 - Is Alice for most improved swimmer.

Picture 6 - Is Vivian for best 25m in Butterfly.

Well done to all winner and all our member of the club who are all incredible in there own way.

✨Annual Awards Night✨

Last week we had our annual awards night, an evening full of celebration, laughs and of course dancing! We love to take this time to celebrate all our swimmer on there progress over the last year.

We were join by the CEO of leisurefocus Mark Camp-Overy and Sarah Todd who is on the board for swimengland

Picture 1,2,3 - Is Darcey, Zac and George who received the trophy for being able to complete a length, all these swimmers have shown amazing progress since joining the club.

Picture 4 -Is Jack who did win not 1 but 3 trophies, 2 for swimming and 1 for Synchro.

Picture 5 - Is Alice who had won most improved swimmer.

Picture 6 - Is Vivian who has won best 25m Butterfly.

Well done to all our swimmer who are apart of our club who continue to show people that WE CAN!

We would like to do a big shout out to our main coach Di, she was one of the finalist for the Development Artistic Coach of the Year, even though she didn’t win this one she was the winner within the South East Region.

Yesterday our swimmers took part in the yearly K2 Figure competition.

Our swimmer have been working very hard week in week out, and have shown that hard work truly does pay off.

They continue to push the boundaries and show everyone that their disabilities do not stop them!

Last weekend we had a Darts fundraiser where we had multiple people come together in pairs or solos to compete in a dart competition.

They raised a wiping £1024 for us, we are so grateful and now are over half way to our fundraising GOAL!

✨Windsor to Ireland Hustle✨

Just like that our hustle is over this challenge has been great but honestly … for us it’s been about encouraging activity and finding fun and creative ways to be more active over the Summer more than number of steps

Keeping track of steps has been a way for our swimmers to challenge themselves to be more active than they might otherwise over the Summer. Some examples, Teresa took her dog on extra long walks, walked to work, choreographed original dance routines, and taught her family some synchronised swimming moves… in the ocean !
Jack took up some new activities, canoeing, biking, and also did some extra long dog walks and extra swimming and incorporated extra walks in daily routines. Eleanor has undertaken a Thames path challenge. Viv has done Tae Kwon Do and loads of hiking and worked at Foxes…
That’s really what it’s been about …

✨Windsor to Ireland Hustle✨

On the way to Ireland ! Super Stepper Jack has stepped, boxed, rowed, flipped and swam over 300,000 steps since we began tracking on 20th July ! Jack also gets the award for most varied summer activity programs! Great job trying new things. Eleanor and Teresa are close behind at over 250 k steps each! Time with families on the water really added up the steps for both! Teresa has also added to her busy work days by walking to work, healthy choices all around. As we know, Teresa, Jack and Viv are all regular dog walkers. The delightful Dobby helped Eleanor get in on the dog walking action. Viv has been busy at Foxes, and we can’t wait for another update . Happy stepping everyone.

Wild women went 217,000 steps last week and have gone over a million steps since the challenge started! We have learned that just simply adding extra walks to our days is making a big difference in our fitness 😊
