24th March 2026. As spring arrives and thoughts turn toward summer activities, remember that the sea temperature lags behind the air. It is at it's coldest in late March. Whatever the weather, it is just too cold for our 2 hour lessons yet. We hope to restart our surf school in early May, as usual.

Wednesday 15th October. Perfect conditions for surf lessons at the moment. Picture from this afternoon. The sea is still 15c (warmer than whit week) and we have enjoyed plenty of sunshine here while over the border (in England) low cloud has prevailed. There are some spaces left in our surf school this weekend if you fancy it?

Friday 8th August. The glorious, summer weather continued today. The perfect beginner waves also kept coming (pic. from this morning). Come and enjoy a lesson while the sea is at it's highest summer temperature. We have space on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.

Sunday 3rd August. Our surf school enjoyed another day of perfect beginner surf today (pic.). It is likely to be too windy for lessons on Monday but we should be back on Tuesday and the week looks good again. Thursday 31st July. We have enjoyed perfect surf school waves this week. Today was ideal for learners (pic.). Ignore commercial surf reports/forecasts, they are never right and lack local knowledge. If we call a lesson on then there should be sufficient surf.

Wednesday 23rd July. Our busy season is in full swing now with lessons most days. We have our logo on t-shirts and hoodies in heavyweight, organic cotton in our West Coast Surf Shop.

Friday 27th June. It looks like we are lining up for a weekend full of beginner friendly surf. We still have a few places available on Sunday if you need a lesson. Get in touch and enjoy these high summer conditions.

Tuesday 10th June. The surf was a bit bigger today. More intermediate than beginner suitable!

Monday 9th June. (pic) Perfect beginner conditions again today (as it has been for all of June so far!) Surf lessons are now in full swing at weekends. Any group of 5 or more can also book a lesson any day mid-week. We provide all the equipment and give you 2 hours of instruction, all for just £35!! Get in touch, what are you waiting for?

Thursday 22nd May 2025. We have had perfect beginner surf all week (picture from this morning). The weather may be changing but we are expecting the surf to continue over the weekend and into next week. We are filling up our daily lessons over the Whitsun holidays so book on now to ensure your places. Call or e-mail [email protected] to enquire.
