Although all is looking good for this year, all events are subject to change due to adverse weather. We will update any changes to the Events on this page nearer the time. The annual village run Abersoch Regatta takes place this year from Tuesday 8th August to Saturday 12th of August. As well as the sailing regatta day, there's also a number of fun, family orientated events. Open Regatta Golf Competition. Paddle Board Race. Regatta Day S.C.Y.C

ABERSOCH REGATTA 2026 – CRABBING COMPETITION 🦀

What a turnout! It was wonderful to see so many people lining the harbour wall, getting involved and trying their luck at hauling in a crab or two.

There was such a buzz around the harbour and plenty of happy activity as everyone counted their catches.

👏 Well done to all our worthy winners, and a huge thank you to everyone who came along and made it another brilliant Regatta event.

Thanks as always to Abersoch RNLI for being on duty and keeping a watchful eye over proceedings. 🛟

And of course, once the counting was complete, all crabs were safely returned to the sea. 🦀

What a morning on Abersoch Beach! ☀️

Buckets, spades and plenty of imagination were put to work, with some brilliant sandcastles and sculptures taking shape along the beach.

👏 A huge well done to all our winners and everyone who took part — we loved seeing all your creations!

And, as always, a big thank you to our fantastic Abersoch Regatta sponsors and supporters, helping us keep these much-loved Regatta traditions going and raise funds for local good causes. 💛

🏖️ ABERSOCH REGATTA 2026 – BEST DRESSED BEACH HUT 🎉

The beach was bursting with colour, bunting and brilliant themes, with so much effort going into this year’s competition. 👏

🥇 Our joint winners:

🌊 Bella with her fabulous Abersoch Intergalactic Beach Resort. Well done Bella — we absolutely loved the incredible effort, imagination and attention to detail that went into every part of it!

🌺 The Turner Family with their brilliant Viking-themed beach hut — another fantastic entry and very worthy joint winners.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part and transformed their beach huts for Regatta Day.

And of course, thanks to our Beach Patrol judges and Regatta committee — definitely one of the toughest jobs of the day! 💙

⛵️ A fabulous day on the water for Abersoch Regatta 2026

Congratulations to all of Saturdays winners, here they are at the prizegiving after a brilliant day of racing. 👏

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, supported from the shore and helped make our sailing regatta such a special start to the week.

⛵ Abersoch Regatta 2026: Our Sailing Showpiece

What a stunning day for sailing and a brilliant start to Abersoch Regatta 2026.

A huge well done to all the boats and crews who took to the water today. It was fantastic to see so many people lining the beach and gathering at the club to watch the racing and enjoy the day.

A big thank you to Abersoch RNLI for joining us, and to everyone who filled the top deck for an afternoon in the sunshine with DJ Lionel. ☀️🎶

As ever, we’re incredibly grateful to our brilliant Regatta committee, generous sponsors and loyal supporters who help make it all possible, and of course to SCYC for hosting such a fantastic Regatta Day.

The Abersoch Regatta Committee is pleased to announce that annual Youth Grants are available for young people under the age of 18 living in the council areas of:
• Abersoch & Llanengan
• Llanbedrog & Mynytho

These grants are designed to support young people who have shown real potential or excellence in a sporting or cultural activity, and who now need specialist coaching or training to progress further.

What can the grant help with?
Grants may contribute towards:
• Coaching or training fees
• Kit and equipment
• Travel costs
• Accommodation related to training or competition

Grants are awarded annually and will cover up to 50% of the applicant’s costs for that year.
- The number and value of grants awarded will depend on available funds and the volume of applications received.
