This weekend presented champagne sailing for Pwllheli boats, however early light conditions on Saturday morning prompted the race management to shorten the course of the clubs's ISORA coastal race to ensure everyone got a finish.

Jackknife seals it 🏆👏

Sam Hall’s J/125 Jackknife delivered when it mattered most, taking overall IRC victory in the Antigua 360 and clinching the 2026 RORC Nelson’s Cup Series on countback.

In a week defined by tight margins and high-quality racing, the Welsh team kept it clean, consistent and composed — edging out Niklas Zennström’s Rán in one of the closest finishes the series has seen.

“It’s really special to win the RORC Nelson’s Cup overall,” commented Sam Hall. “The Jackknife team is a bunch of mates that have pulled together to race and she is the boat that I started sailing on with my dad. To win against such an incredible array of talent is more than we had hoped for and a very special moment."
