Tomorrow is the funeral of Liam Potts.

Liam was a much loved member of the Prudhoe community and a former Prudhoe YC and Stocksfield FC junior player.

He was also a regular visitor to Essity Park to support the Senior team and watch his good friend, who is recovering from his injuries sustained on that awful night in Wylam.

Liam was one of the nicest young men you could ever meet and will always be much loved and never forgotten.

Our deepest, heartfelt and sincere condolences go out to Liam’s family and friends at this sad time.

Goodbye, god bless and rest in peace soldier, footballer and fabulous young man.

✍️NEW SIGNING - JENSEN GUTHRIE✍️

We are delighted to announce the signing of 19 year old Jensen Guthrie. Jensen is a left back who joins us from Green Gully SC Melbourne, Australia. In UK to study staying with relatives in Ponteland, Jensen is a defender with a great left foot and made his debut in our first win of season v Alnwick.

🌱 The People’s Emergency Briefing – Prudhoe
Join Prudhoe Goes Green, funded by Prudhoe Town Council, for a free screening of The People’s Emergency Briefing at The Legion, Prudhoe, on Tuesday 22 September 2026 at 7pm.
The film explores climate and environmental risks and what they could mean for our communities.
The screening will be followed at 8pm by a local discussion about our response in Prudhoe — what we want to know, what we would like to change, and what we can take forward together.
