When I'm not doing crazy things, like running marathons, hiking up mountains or taking part in obstacle races, I do the odd sensible thing. In this case, jumping out of a perfectly good plane, all in the aid of charity.

It may have taken me a bit longer than expected, due to illness last year, but last weekend I finally managed my skydive.

Massive shout out to Keith at Hinton Skydiving Centre for all your support on the day, and especially for opening the parachute!

Another big shout out to everyone who's donated. I've already smashed my target, but you can still donate to Helen and Douglas House. This wonderful charity provides specialist palliative, respite and end of life care for terminally ill babies and children.

Finally, thanks to all my friends and family for the support, only 5 more years before Thomas is old enough to follow in my footsteps!

This August I'll be jumping from 13,000ft and accelerating to 120mph, during a tandem skydive for the wonderful Helen & Douglas House. My amazing wife, Sarah, works for this deserving charity. Dedicat

I'm pleased to announce that I've successfully passed my Exercise Referral qualification!

Following years of experience training clients with numerous medical conditions I now have further qualifications, knowledge and insight into a number of areas, including:

* COPD and Asthma

* Mental Health Conditions (Stress, Anxiety and Depression)

* Hypertension

* Obesity

* Diabetes (Type I and II)

* Arthritis and Osteoporosis.

Finally time to get back to the gym!

Plenty of health and safety measures in place, cleaning protocols, social distancing, booking procedures etc.

I'll still continue with training outdoors and online, alongside the gym, for the foreseeable, so plenty of options no matter what your situation.

Looking forward to seeing a few familiar faces 😁

Sometimes you just have to work with what you've got.

In my case a smorgasbord of weights with no more room on the bar, a patio that needs pressure washing and a lawn which has seen better days.

Still beats doing nothing 💪

Staying safe, fit and healthy may be proving more difficult these days but if we're all sensible we can get through this together.

The slam ball and kettlebell may be a bit close for comfort but if we all follow the social distancing advice we may be able to enjoy the great outdoors for a little while longer.

Being outside is great for mental wellbeing, whilst activity is as beneficial for the mind as it is the body.

For those of you self isolating, stay safe and if you're well you can keep active at home. There's a host of quality free workouts from world renowned Personal Trainers at the moment and many of my clients are utilising personalised training plans.

If you're stuck for ideas please feel free to get in touch and I'll point you in the right direction.
