Meet Shaun! ⭐️
Shaun started his padel journey just over a year ago. It was at Holmer Green in the summer of 2024.
He came along to a number of my Beginners Padel sessions and I instantly liked him. A very nice chap who’d come along to see what this padel malarkey was all about!
Now, Shaun will be the first to admit that padel didn’t come naturally to him at first. In fact, I remember him being quite frustrated at times (like we all are when we start).
But through the ups and downs Shaun has kept showing up!
Beginners Padel, Beginners Mix-ins, Improver’s Mix-Ins, a bit of coaching, some with Anneka, some with David, and LOTS of Open Matches.
He NEVER ever game up.
When our new club at Princes Risborough opened, Shaun was one of the first to join.
When our new Princes Risborough T-Shirts were launched, Shaun was one of the first to put his hand up for one.
Then when the UK PADEL Princes Risborough Super League launched Shaun was amongst the first to sign up.
We now have 22 leagues, ranging from beginner to regional level players, and this month I was SO thrilled that Shaun had not only won his league, but he’s now up to the 16th tier! 👏
It’s players like Shaun that make our clubs what they are. He’s showed up time after time for himself, he’s always friendly and welcoming to other players, he’s committed to learning and improving, he’s gritty and determined, competitive but fair, and I am SO glad that he’s part of our UK Padel community.
Well done Shaun! Your hard work and persistence is really starting to pay off! You thoroughly deserve all the padel success that is coming your way!
